We toured Oregon and stayed in this hotel - we paid a little extra to have the ocean view suite and it was really worth it. The views were simply stunning! To be able to sit in our room and watch and hear the waves crashing was a rare treat.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make our stay pleasurable. Had we been staying longer ( we were only there one night) we would certainly have made use of the library - both the books and the DVD's. The beds were very comfortable and the room a good size. It is however a drive from any restaurants.

My mother and I stayed one night on our week long tour of the Pacific Northwest. I was able to get a reservation the day before and it was by far the best stay of the trip. The room had a fireplace and sunk in tub with views of the beach and haystack rock. The location was south of town but parking was close and the quiet was suitable for the less traveled side of the beach. The staff was friendly and Karen served breakfast with a smile while comfortably chatting with us about Columbia River Gorge and Portland. I wish we could have stayed longer to pamper ourselves.

Room Tip: The first floor balconies were connected and has a small grass dune in front of the ocean. I would...

We spent one night here and were pleased with our experience overall. Pros: Large and immaculate room with a comfortable king bed. Great to have a kitchenette and a balcony with amazing views on the Pacific. Just steps from Haystack Rock on the incredibly gorgeous beach. Satisfying and healthy self-serve breakfast with fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, etc. Cons: The desk receptionist who checked us in was chirpy and indifferent, as if she was reading a script and not dealing with actual human beings. It was tricky to find the parking lot since there are no signs. The balconies are adjacent to one another with no walls, so there isn't any privacy. And considering we didn't know the area, we felt a bit isolated since we were two miles from the charming town of Cannon Beach, with its lively shops and eateries, which was too much for us to deal with on foot after driving all day. (Luckily the nearby Warren House Pub filled the bill with an excellent meal.) On balance, this property is certainly in the plus column... but it's really designed for guests who want to be right on the beach and not in the heart of town.

Arrived on Sunday the day of the huge storm. Raining and blowing so hard. It was very comfortable and cozy in our unit, looking right out onto the ocean. Walking the beach was great fun even with the very hard wind. So nice having a suite.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room on beach with an ocean viewm.

We went for a couple of nights for our anniversary! It was romantic, peaceful close to the beach! We walked to town on the beach and back on the road! The rooms were large and had a great fireplace and it had a refrigerator!

This is a fabulous hotel. Perfect views, great rooms with wonderful amenities, great breakfast, free DVDs. We had a wonderful time & kept saying to one another what a great hotel this was with great views. We live 15 mins. from this hotel & used this occasion for a great "vacation away." We had a top floor corner room & could see down the coast for miles both directions. It had a nice balcony to sit & enjoy the sunset.

Room Tip: Top floor, corner room is great.
