Reviewed 13 August 2014 via mobile

We dined outside on clam chowder, house salad with wasabi/ginger vinaigrette and sipped BloodyMary's as we watched well behaved beautiful canine relaxing by the fire !

“Walk on by”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

First the good: the best clam chowder we've ever had (and we eat clam chowder a lot, everywhere) and the onion rings were fabulous. The bad: our group had four different entrees and one was worse than the next. The crab sandwich was on a soggy English muffin drowning in too much cheese, and the crab smelled and tasted fishy. The po'boy sandwich with oysters also smelled fishy and tasted like the oysters were not fresh. The fries were bland, undercooked, and soggy. To top it off, two of us who had the crab sandwich had to make a long bathroom stop on the way home and had an upset tummy for hours. Recommendation: if you go, stick to the chowder and onion rings.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are happy that you enjoyed the chowder and onion rings, but disappointed that we failed to meet your expectations with the other menu items. We will use your input to look into inconsistency issues with these food items. Thank you again for your time.

“Good food, staff and setting...Driftwood has it all covered in Canon Beach”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

This was our first (but not last) visit to Cannon Beach and on our first evening there was walking after dinner and just managed to walk by Driftwood. We liked what we saw from the outside and came back the next day for dinner reservations. Now, this is a popular place, outside dining, nice view from the deck, this has it all going on, for a laid-back beach town. Kyle the manager could not have been nicer, making suggestions on how we might assure ourselves of an outside table. The food was good, staff were nice and the setting could not have been more relaxing. We got an outside table and sipped on some wine, ate a lovely fish dinner (the Salmon with dill is excellent) and settled into life along the beach. Yes, we would go back, it's a laid back casual restaurant so don't go dressing up...Casual beach dining doesn't get much better than the Driftwood in Cannon Beach.
