“Delicious and cozy place”
Reviewed 6 January 2012

If you are not in a hurry and just want to sit back for a nice lunch or breakfast while passing through... This is a great place to eat!!! The oak barrel tables are so much fun and my husband says the mocha is some of the best. Too bad they are only open seasonally. A delightful couple owns it and they are very nice.

“Locals & tourists come for sandwiches, don't forget the patio or the brews!”
Reviewed 12 September 2011

Having opened a shop down the block in Carlton, I visit the Filling Station fairly often.

Sandwich shop in a former filling station. Good sandwiches, homemade soups in colder season, served up by nice friendly folks. Also some nice local wines and local brews available to go with! Great little patio (as well as tables inside) if eating there. You'll usually find a friendly mix of locals, wine tourists, and cyclists, among others there. Also brew Stumptown coffees/espresso drinks.

“Best sandwiches and very friendly Service”
Reviewed 25 June 2011

We stopped by to pick up sandwiches for our tour of the wine country. They custom make your sandwiches right there in front of you. Very friedly and will offer sugestions if you are not sure of what you want. Prices are great as well.

“Nice place for lunch while touring Wine Country”
Reviewed 15 September 2010

My husband and I ventured into the Filling Station in between wine tastings. The service was friendly and quick. There are places to eat outside (which we did since it was a beautiful day). Their sandwiches would also make the perfect picnic lunch while touring wine country (which we will do the next time we visit).

“Super sandwiches served in a fun, quirky, family setting”
Reviewed 6 August 2010

While you're in Oregon wine country, remember to stop by and "fill up" on sandwiches at this little deli. You won't leave hungry!

The sandwiches are generous, inventive, and quality. I recommend the Southwestern Sub (if you can stand the heat). And if you're lucky enough to be there for grilling night (Fri., Sat.), you won't want to miss either the Veggie Burger or the Mahi-Mahi. Don't know how you'll choose...

This is truly a make-yourself-at-home place: Drinks are in the fridge, help yourself! Mom and Dad, you'll find paper and crayons on the bookshelf outside the bathroom (enormous) and, yes, if you want to read the book, you can take it with you. Dog tie and water bowl on the deck. Keep your eye out for the coffee-crazed squirrel; he only drinks Stumptown.

It's always nice to discover a place with a big heart, good service, and fabulous food.
