I stayed in unit 7, it is one house away from the office and I did not get signal at all. I have to walk close to the office, to use wifi. when asking the front desk, she claimed they did not have that problem before, and would not offer any help

the unit is ok for that price.

Cascade Motel is a hidden gem. It is off the main road and therefore very quiet and peaceful. The little cottage we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. When in the area, we would definitely choose the Cascade Motel again.

We ended up in Cascade Locks because everything in Hood River was booked full. Our cottage was very roomy with a refrigerator and microwave. The curtains and bedspread were themed from the 50s, but the bathroom had been remodeled and everything was clean and bright. The lady who runs it was very nice and helpful. While Cascade Locks doesn't have all the amenities of Hood River, It's less expensive and we found a nice pub for dinner.

A wonderful place to stay while sailing on the river. It is a very relaxing place with wonderful grounds and very good facilities . The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had afamily reunion while staying here and all attendees thought it was a fabulous place to stay and want to come back again next year.

The Cascade Motel came up on my GPS when I used it to search for lodging while visiting the Columbia River Gorge in early June 2014. I had never heard of it before, but gave it a try. It proved to be a good choice and pleasant surprise: an old-fashioned motel of individual cottages, in a nice neighborhood, at a very reasonable price. My cottage had a full kitchen with dishes, stove, fridge and microwave. The two modern upgrades, wifi and cable TV, worked well. I met the owners, a young married couple, very pleasant people working hard to make a go of it in the best American Way tradition. In sum, not fancy but fully adequate and very pleasant. Especially good for couples who want an "It Happened One Night" kind of experience.

We were going to stay at Best Western, but they had no rooms available. Now we're glad they were booked! We found this motel on a side road and decided to check it out. The property has several cottages that were built in the 40's. We stayed in cottage #1 which has been remodeled. There is a kitchen with stove, microwave and frig, small table and 2 chairs plus a sofa. Everything was clean.

We liked it well enough that we stayed an additional 2 days. It was convenient and quiet. The weather was a bit warmer than usual so it was good to have an air conditioner. The queen bed was reasonably comfortable, but could stand replacing. Wi-fi was iffy in the cottage probably because it was further away. Frequently I had to go outside and sit at the table nearer the office, but the grounds are pleasant with lovely plants. It just wasn't convenient in the evenings when you wanted to get on the internet.

Price was a bit ambitious. Maybe you can get a better rate by booking ahead. All in all, we were pleased with the property.

This was priced way below other options and had fairly decent reviews. We liked the quiet location, and there was a place to sit outside- pretty if you focused on distant rather than near view which was industrial building. The room had been remodeled but they hadn't done anything with the furnishings. Bed was very uncomfortable, old mattress, flat pillows etc. Only other seating was one uncomfortable straight back wooden chair with filthy upholstered seat that used to be white. In addition, window in door let bright early light in directly to head area of bed. We ended up stuffing the bedspread there at night. Lady at check in was very nice. We would not stay here again at least in the same room.

Room Tip: From reading the other reviews, I would say to be sure and check out the units- perhaps you would fa...
