We 've gone to this cafe several times, its always packed, but worth waiting. I personally love their veggie omelet, comes with yammie hashbrowns and toast. Service is very quick, guys that work there are awesome. Its lacking seating, and parking lot is tight, but food and service will bring you back. Definitely worth trying.

Clackamas could certainly use more places like Dean's. First the breakfasts are substantial and low priced. The service is friendly, unpretentious, confident, and competent. A rare combination. The meals are traditional but well prepared. The chops and bacon are very good. The specials are cost reductions off the regular price. Sometimes there is a wait on the weekend.

Set in an old bungalow house on the corner of Clackamas Industrial Park and a busy thoroughfare, this breakfast joint is "Old School" good. More seating would be a plus and wait time can be long due to this fact. Rather extensive menu of old school breakfast items. Nothing fancy or gastronomically challenging here. It's in the style of a Truck Stop that people tell you, you must try. Eggs with a funky chewy piece of steak, Pork Chops, Sausage, bacon, chicken fried steak, etc. You get the picture. Pancakes and the like too. Nothing is fussy.... Costco thin-cut chops, pre-made chicken fried steak, regular bacon... Nothing over the top. Prices are cheap and potions are large. That being said, I don't rate places based on size and cost.... That says nothing about the food itself. I hate reviews that state, "BIG PORTIONS and GOOD value." Good to know, but HOW DOES IT TASTE?! I have to admit, price and portion does give Dean's a push in the ratings, but the food is actually done well! Simple chops are seasoned well, juicy and tasty. Chicken Fried steak actually tastes like they made it in the kitchen. Eggs are fresh and pancakes are fluffy, dense and tasty. Home fries are simple and forgettable. Toast is toast. Biscuits are big and, flaky and tasty. Country gravy is of the white variation and could use a little more sausage or meaty punch, as well as, some increased seasoning for my taste, but it's pretty good. Coffee is better than average. In conclusion, it's far better than average local greasy spoon or commercial breakfast slop houses. Don't expect anything gourmet and you'll be surprised that it's pretty darn good.
