I remember when there were only a few McMenamins around and they were special places. Now they are all over and nothing special, especially this one, which is in a strip mall instead of one of the historic buildings McMenamins built their reputation on.
Their marketing department certainly knows how to write a menu, as most of the offerings sound intriguing. However, a lot gets lost in the execution. Ordinary ingredients plus ordinary cooking skills yields ordinary results. The food isn't bad, it just isn't any better than what you'd get in any other pub on 82nd or Sunnyside.
