“More quiet than some of higher priced motels”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

After checking out other higher priced motels around, decided this could be the most quiet. Was not disappointed. Friendly staff, coffee in the lobby, free WiFi w/group affiliation, clean, comfortable bed, new sink, no mold or smell as specifically asked for pet & smoke free room.
Excellent choice in Coos Bay, OR.

Room Tip: Always ask for a high floor & away from noise.

Cheap motel with absolutely no frills. I wasn't expecting the world considering the price we paid but the room was a disappointment.
The room smelled, was grubby and the road noise was deafening. Also we had to pay for WiFi
On the plus side the front staff was nice and helpful though.

We have stayed at a number of Motel 6 locations in four states, and this (Coos Bay Motel 6) is by far the best one. It is well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. I asked for a "quiet" room and received the quietest room in the building. Other rooms probably have some street noise.

I was tempted to rate this motel with 5-stars but it is, after all, a very low cost motel 6 and some high-priced motels are sure to deserve one star higher than this.

Room Tip: It always pays to ask for a "quiet" room.

Stayed three nights with a pet. Good location off Highway 101. Very comfortable beds. Large room with two queen beds, fridge and micro plus lots of hot water. Quick friendly check in. Exterior rooms which are excellent when travelling with our pet and close to good areas for walking our pet. Regular coffee in the morning at the office. No hot water for tea. Laundry facilities as well as sauna and hot tub on the premises. Close to a number of good restaurants. Easy access to a number of recreational sights within twenty minutes driving time. We saw grey whales, hundreds of seals and a wide variety of sea birds.

We stayed here on a road trip through Coos Bay. The cost of the room was $62 and the place was very popular. The room it self was a standard motel layout - with 2 queen beds. I normally do not stay in motels as I like to investigate them fully on Trip Advisor in advance of making a booking. However on this occasion we got what we paid for. The room was spotlessly clean but very basic. I wasn't very happy with the bedding though. One of the pillows had a stain on it - one of those night time dribble stains. This led me to believe that maybe some of the pillow-cases were just visually inspected and not necessarily changed between guests. The sheets were very clean but not really ironed.

We got what we paid for. I think for $62 it was fine. But I wouldn't stay there again.

This is the only placed we stayed on a 30 day trip that charged for internet. The room was clean but did not have a coffee maker which I use to make tea. They also did not offer juice - only coffee in the lobby. No frig or microwave which was pretty standard in every other motel we stayed in. Not cheap. I would not use it again.

I was happy with my stay here. I checked-in in the evening, the guy working was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. The AC didn't cool very well but I was just happy they had AC. I always enjoy a 12:00 pm check-out option! : ) I would stay here again. I felt safe here.
