This Chinese hotspot was doing a land office business when we arrived. The vast menu included all the traditional offerings you can find in most Chinese places. For an appetizer we opted for the pot stickers which came with two dipping sauces. Beef with snow peas, like the pot stickers, was good but not exceptional. Mongolian beef was a big miss. Marked as spicy it was a real let down. The meat itself was overcooked and over seasoned what I think was hoisin sauce. It was absent the heat. So, when the beer, Tsing Tao, is the best part of the meal, something is wrong.

And overpriced. Small portions, high prices and mediocre food about sums this local hot spot up. That said it is very popular with the locals, especially the older ones.

I recently enjoyed a nice meal from Kum Yon's. Food was pretty good. Service was a bit slow though. There were not really that busy - it was around 4:15pm, but the gal came by and we asked for a minute more. She never returned. I had to ask another gal to please see if someone could take our order after we waited for about 15 minutes. Our order was taken, food was delivered, bill was left at table... and we never saw her again.
I enjoyed the meal, but the service was not as it should have been.

Kum Yon's has been and still is one of our favorite local places for lunch or dinner, they are not open for breakfast. Kum Yon is always consistent in her dish preparations so if you find something on the very large menu that you really enjoy, you can be assured you will receive the same wonderful tasting did the next time you order it. She tries very hard to please all of her customers.

The wait staff is very good as well as attentive. The prices are good and the presentation is very appealing. We have never had a bad tasting dish from Kum Yon, everything is excellent!

If you are in the mood for some good Thai food you will be good with this place. Food is very good but a notch short of being great. Clean and comfortable. .Pleasently decorated. I enjoyed the Sapporo beer that was on tap. Good service.
