“Clean”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

We stayed 3 nights in Cottage Grove. They front desk staff was very nice, and they gave us a slight discount because we were there for a funeral. The room was clean, the breakfast looked good and smelled nice, but we only had fruit because we were eating with family members at other places. It was hard to get fresh towels even when I asked, because they "were running short." The outside ice machine was also broken and they had a sign to get ice inside the lobby if necessary which was a bit of a pain. But otherwise overall stay was nice. I'm not sure how many people need to travel to cottage grove OR but it was a comfortable nice stay.

i expect more for $76.00 ,,,, the room was ok ,nothing great nothing terrible, it has a fridge and micro ,tv all the usual stuff and it seemed clean enough ,, there was very little selection in the morning at the FREE breakfast - 2 flat pieces of egg ?? and gravy + some fruit and cold cereal dounts and toast
that was about it - i stay in comfort inns a lot and i dont think ive seen a breakfast like this at any other

We awoke in the middle of the night with bedbugs crawling all over us. They were filled with blood and crawling all over both beds and the walls by the headboards. It was like something out of a horror movie. We spent the rest of the night drying our clothes in the hot dryer to kill the bedbugs. The lady working the night shift told us to speak to the manager in the morning. Patty the front desk manager that was on in the morning told us a man from West Virginia brought bugs in the night before but they had cleaned the room. That level of infestation would not have occured in one night. Also, why would you knowingly rent a room with bugs in it? Disgusting! She denied they were bedbugs and stated she did not care if I wrote bad reviews on the internet because 90% of their business came from the unfortunate travelers who just stopped in. I hope I can save the other 10% from the hellish night we had. This place will knowingly rent a room with bedbugs and not give hardly any discount on the room. It's horrible!

Last option for a place to stay on a big football weekend. Have stayed at Comfort Inns before but this one was below my expectations. Very noisy, cobwebs that haven't been removed, hairs in the shower and on the walls in the bathroom. Needs to be cleaned more thoroughly. Breakfast was typical. Not impressed.

When there is a Duck's game - it is hard to find a hotel room in Eugene and if you do the cost is ridiculous. Also an excellent location if you are going to a function at King Estate winery - closest you can get. Cottage Grove is about 20 minutes south of Eugene and the Comfort Inn is just off the I-5. Your typical old 70's style motel - not fancy and a bit dated but otherwise fairly clean and beds are comfortable. Friendly staff. Somewhat tired and crowded continental breakfast - but it is part of the package so that is nice enough. AAA rate on a sold out Saturday night was only about $89 so that was terrific. I would rate this as a 3+ - just too old and dated to get a 4.

Room Tip: I would stay in the "back part" - rooms in the 120's and 220's. A bit quieter on t...

Nice location just off the freeway but the downside of that proximity comes in the form of noise. At times it was as if the trucks were rumbling right into the parking lot and unfortunately, the front desk told us all the rooms faced the freeway so none were better than others. Typical continental breakfast and the room was in decent shape.

We found the rooms clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable with choices in pillow firmness. We were traveling with two little ones and found the staff to be helpful and accommodating to our schedule. Nice variety for breakfast.
