Had a lovely time, beautiful grounds, excellent restaurant, room nicely appointed in shabby chic with great gas FP. 4.5, bed was fine but not great. All in all, a very fine getaway, well-located to I-5. Really liked it; will come again. Perfect for weddings.

Lucky to have found this treasure, we now stay at the Village Green whenever traveling through Cottage Grove Oregon.
The resort is quaint with charming and comfortable rooms. Some rooms open onto a small private enclosed garden.
The rates are reasonable and the on site restaurant offers tasty meals served by pleasant staff.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms have a great little private courtyard

We've tried hotels in Medford (only adequate), Eugene (mundane), Roseberg (dismal) and Grant's Pass (barely passable). Village Green was a real treat. The facility is older, but the staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms are large and clean, and we enjoyed walking the gardens even in late winter without flowers. We booked with their Dinner Package, which included dinner for two, a bottle of decent local wine, breakfast for two and one night's lodging for $104 including tax. Couldn't find a better deal anywhere. The only downside--the breakfast wasn't much: hard boiled eggs, cereals and muffins plus beverages. The only really good thing was their Greek yogurt. Still, we will definitely book there again when heading south from Seattle.

We drove down from the Portland area. Upon arrival it was dark out. When we arrived all the exterior lights were on. You're wondering why I'm writing this? The last visit when we arrived there
were no lights on at all. It was very dark. This time though, they were all on and it made a much more pleasant and inviting place. The desk clerk was very nice and gave us all our information as we were on a TravelZoo holiday. We stayed in the 900 building. The room was very clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable.
We went to the breakfast area in the morning. The previous visit here they had hot food items as well as the waffle maker, yogurt in solo containers, a choice of fruit, and the beverages.
This time though it was waffles, canned pears, assorted bread, bulk yogurt, and the beverages. I'm guessing that because of the slow season the hot items were missing. We were disappointed to say the least.
Over all though, it was a very enjoyable trip here and we will return. We would seriously recommend this property to friends as well as you, the reader.

Room Tip: Choose the buildings that have been upgraded unless you wish retro. They are all nice rooms but the older ones are truly retro

We stayed here on a travelzoo package that included breakfast both days, dinner one night, and wine tasting at 6 wineries.

Breakfast was a small continental setup with a selection of toast, yogurt, strawberries, cereal, and make your own waffles. It was the same setup both mornings. Nothing special but it gets you going for the day.

Dinner was a selection of anything on the menu including one bottle of wine. The have some very nice meal selections on the menu. I had prime rib and the wife had salmon. Both were very good.

The hotel is just off busy I-5 and there is a lot of road noise. Too bad its so noisy when you are out walking their gardens. However, the gardens are nice and worth the time to walk through. Too early in the season for much to be blooming but I bet it looks great in the spring/summer!

The hotel buildings, other than the common/restaurant building, are fairly plain and not aesthetically pleasing. Walking around the property for our garden tour you can see that about half the buildings have fallen deep into disrepair. Thankfully, they do not seem to be booking guests into these buildings.
The rooms are nice enough even though they still have tube TVs that the modern widescreen broadcasts don't fit on due to width.
The room was clean enough, but needs a deep cleaning. Dust where there shouldn't be if a good cleaning had been done.
The bed was comfortable and we got a good nights sleep.

Overall, a nice enough travelzoo package.
