The renovated North Dallas Bar and Grill is beautiful, seriously cleaned up and very, very nice.
We went for breakfast today and I was so disappointed. The new management no longer uses half/half for the coffee but nondairy creamer that does NOTHING to enhance their coffee.
I order a short stack and the cakes were so thick they were not good. They have a very cake like consistency and were about 1/2 inch thick. Not good. The syrup comes cold...FOLKS, warm up your syrup and make your cakes not so thick and make them take like pancakes!!
I also order the smoked double sausage link. Seriously tasted like bar sausages that comes in the pickled juice, just sliced open and fried. The overwhelming taste of vinegar was not good. Buy a good sausage!
Hubby had hash browns and eggs over easy and said they were fine.
This place could be awesome with some extra tweaking. Listen to your reviews, we want restaurants to be successful in little ole' Dallas!!
PS. We were sort of weirded out when our waitress was eating from her Tupperware dish and then spit something into her hand, walked over to throw it away and then picked up our dishes of food to bring to us. Hygiene folks!!
Also the service needs some attention. No one came back to say did we need anything (would have liked more water, but not a biggie). And we sat for longer than usual before we were acknowledged and given menus.
