Willamette Wine Country RV Park
Reviewed 15 July 2014

This park is in the middle of the wine country so the location is good, but the rating by Good Sam is very deceiving. They rate it a 10/10/9.5 but it's nowhere near that. I don't think they've watered the lawns in months. The cement is broken up and seems to be mostly long-term rentals. The trees aren't placed where you'd get any shade on your "patio", so you roast in the summer heat. Laundry, pool and bathrooms are maintained well. Wifi was very average. We had a view of the maintenance area with discarded furniture and old, junk trailers. They've recently spent money on vintage trailers as rentals, but it doesn't appear they've spent anything on the regular sites in a long time. Good dog park nearby. We would not stay here again.

Room Tip: These wouldn't be rooms but sites. Ask for a shady site, if any, and away from the maintenance a...

This is a very clean, friendly, and spacious park, and it has excellent wifi. The pool and facilities are nicely kept up. You can buy wine at the park store and, if that's not good enough for you, there are wineries within sight. It's convenient to a great little town, McMinnville, and dozens of wineries. There's a roadside fruit and vegetable stand nearby with great homemade pies and Tillamook ice cream and the cherries and blueberries are great. Across the road is an RV dealer, if you need parts or repair. This was our backup, as it can get crowded on the weekend due to people going and coming from the beach communities and the wineries, but we'd stay there again.

Room Tip: Hard to find a bad spot.

This park was a happy find! Easy to get to and such a beautiful setting! We thought the management husband and wife were extra helpful and went out of their way to give us information about the local wineries and places to eat. When our Wifi code didn't work we called after hours and they brought a new code to our RV. Little store was cute and was nice to pick up a bottle of wine and sit and watch the sunset from our new RV.

I've been to worse parks, but also much better, especially for the money. Just passing through and hit up some wineries along the way. Weird tension between the manager and her husband (?) when I was checking in. Other than that, everything was pretty average but will probably try somewhere else in the future.

We've stayed here multiple times over the last 10 years, and this was our best trip yet. The management was extremely helpful, going above and beyond to help us elderly folk with getting around the area, they even took time to print us a map of our next location and directed us to a few of the impressive Local Wineries the area has to offer. Kudos to you! Will return when the sun does!

This park is very nicely situated just outside of McMinville and close to Dundee. We stayed there for the air show. The park is very neatly laid out and tidy. They had rented out their exercise room for the weekend so that was off limits and all of their "what to do" literature was housed in that room. There isn't very nice walking around the facility (we are dog owners). It's a rather dry area (we stayed in late July) so if you are looking for something a little more green or with water, you should go elsewhere. They are located near a field and busy road that you can sometimes hear at night. The individual was having issues with the computer at check in and didn't advise of any park amenities or local attractions. They were probably just distracted with their non-working equipment. Their sites are nice sized. I would come back in a pinch but we'll try to stay elsewhere next time.

These folks accommodated us on short notice when the other park we were in was full and we couldn't get a second night. We submitted a reservation request online and got a call the next morning, allowing us to plan our day. The park is arranged well. The office/store offers gifts and food items. Didn't check out the pool. This park is PET FRIENDLY. You do get road noise but, its not too bad.

Room Tip: there are ponds to the east (didn't smell when we were here) but I could see that it might smell...
