My Brother raves about this place. He is very picky, so I knew it had to be good. I came with 4 friends. The servers were super helpful and friendly. The little gal who makes the pies (Betty I think her name is) has a Diploma on the wall for her "Doctor in Pie-ology" and she did indeed have a lot of pies she makes fresh every day. We very much enjoyed visiting with her when she stopped by our table. One of my friends is from New Zealand and has had trouble finding Fish and Chips like they have in NZ. Betty mentioned this to the cook (her son?) and he prepared a battered fish for her which she said is the best she's had since she came to live here a few decades ago. These people take great joy in what they do, and it shows.
There is a Buffet on Saturday night which I would love to try. We were a bit too early for it this trip, and too hungry to wait, but we saw them setting it up and it looked and smelled wonderful, a real feast for the eyes as well as the tummy. I think the price is about $17.95, so very reasonable, too.
