Sitting right on beautiful Whale Cove just south of Depoe Bay, (Whale watching capitol of the Central Coast) this hotel is a gem. Modern, with large, elegant rooms. The best part of the hotel is the restaurant: Restaurant Beck. Not a surprise...the finest restaurant on the Coast in the coolest hotel. There is so much to do in this area. If you love style and class, don't miss Whale Cove Inn.

Room Tip: There are only handful of rooms all at the same high-quality level. There is one large suite with ki...

What a way to spend our 20th anniversary! This hotel is small, and the perfect place to come for a romantic get-away. The staff were very welcoming and helped us plan our sight seeing and made restaurant recommendations and reservations. All the rooms are suites with awesome
views, an outside jacuzzi on our private patio. We loved the clean contemporary, decor and the bed was super comfy!
It is a tiny hotel and not staffed early or late but we enjoyed a hot breakfast served in a warm and friendly Oregon style.
Restaurant Beck was outstanding. Our special dinner was the best.
Can't wait to go back.

Whale Cove Inn has a huge amount going for it. The location is fabulous with great views from all rooms. The rooms are spacious and attractive. It has the huge benefit of having a first class restaurant on the premises. We felt however, that this hotel was lacking in customer service or 'those little extras' that you expect when paying top dollar. There was no one on duty either early in the morning or after 7pm in the evening. There were no bowls of fruit let alone complementary wine tasting which is so common in good Oregon hotels. There was no one to help with luggage. Restaurant Beck was closed for a private function on our second night there. This was a huge disappointment. We thought the hotel might have mentioned this when we booked. When we returned from 'dining out' all the spots in the parking lot were taken by those at the private function. Shouldn't paying guests have guaranteed parking spots? Finally, the breakfast was mediocre at best and much less good than the breakfasts we had at other hotels on this trip. With a bit more effort, this hotel could easily go from good to great.

Looking for an affordable place to stay for our honeymoon, my fiancé and I remembered this Inn from many times driving by it in previous trips to the coast. We looked up the phone number and called when we were in Astoria. The front desk gal quoted us one night stay way over our budget but being our honeymoon we decided to head that far south and see what this place had to offer. Skipping every alternative on the way there, we finally made it. I was sold the minute I walked in and I had not seen my amazing room yet. Our experience here was unforgettable, view, weather, accomadations, and service were well worth every dollar. Very excited to come again, hopefully soon!!!

We stayed here for the last 2 evening of our honeymoon. It was a drivable distance from Crater lake, our previous location. We origionally requested a 2nd floor room because of some reviews that I read that said that the first floor doesn't provide much privacy, but we got the 1st floor due to machanical issues with the 2nd floor tub. The 1st floor is still raised up from the ground and was perfectly private. There is a resturant on the 1st floor, but the manager walks people out to the resturant balcony and it seems that she watches for couples on their private balcony to make sure they receive the privacy they deserve. For the price you want your privacy! We saw countless amount of whales, wake up early! They are very active in the morning. We didn't even need to take a whale watching tour! There were also a lot of habor seals! We are definately returning to the Whale Cove Inn!

Room Tip: It seems that all the rooms are perfectly fine. There are only 8 units so take what you can get!

We only spent one night at the Whale Cove Inn but it was worth the stop. Our room was lovely .
The staff was helpful but was somewhat put off to find no one on duty during the night. Only later the front desk staff advised us that the owner/manager lived on site and could have been there had we had issues. We had none. Read some negative reviews on Restaurant Beck so ate out but their breakfast was perfect. All in all a good visit and would revisit and would recommend.

Room Tip: We had a corner suite but this is a small property and all the rooms should be okay.
