“Great Chowder”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2008

After reading how good everyone's chowder was on the Oregon Coast, we finnally found some that lived up to it's billing. Very friendly service. Try the marionberry tart for desert.

“This restaurant has changed hands a few times over the years, however, the fod has always remained FRESH, LOCAL, OWNER...”

This restaurant has changed hands a few times over the years, however, the fod has always remained FRESH, LOCAL, OWNER SELECTED, & DELICIOUS!! Best of all it really epitomizes the Pacific Northwest seafood bar. You can sit at the bar and watch your fresh caught pacific coast salmon being grilled and chopped for your salmon sandwich which has a hand-made rosemary/cracked peppercorn mayonnaise and house made cold slaw. Even better, while I ate the aforementioned salmon sandwich and slurped the best fresh from scratch made clam chowder, I was able to watch a gale force storm move in and literally wash highway 101 with thousands of gallons of angry seawater. All the while I am enjoying some amazingly delicious and yet simple food with my fiance! While we ate the lady who currently owns the bar talked with us about how she personally selects every item in the restaurant while at the same time cooking some very delicious smelling brownies. SHE WAS GOOD. We finished our meal with some organic roasted coffee that she said was roasted in Oregon, we loved the coffee and sipped it outside while we smoked cigarettes. To sum this all up I have been eating here for a long time now and have always found it to be extremely satisfying and very fresh Pacific Northwest cuisine.

“Not What it Used To Be”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2008

Locals have said it's under new management and have gotten quite a bit of negative feedback. We thought we'll try it and see. It was awful. Super dried out bread on the sandwich, clam chowder was inedible and service was nothing to brag about.
Will not be returning.

“A great place to eat lunch or dinner!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2008

We've visited the Oregon Coast for years, and every time we do, we make sure to stop at Gracie's Sea Hag for lunch or dinner. We love their piping hot chowder (with a pat of butter melting on top) and freshly baked Parmesan garlic bread. For dinner, they offer a variety of fresh seafood dishes that are wonderful. They have a wonderful homemade marionberry tart for dessert, too. Try eating here -- you'll like it!
