“Lovely B&B in a great location in Willamette Valley wine area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 September 2013

We stayed at this charming inn last week and had a very nice time. Our room, the Asian room, was nice with lots of windows and a very comfortable bed, nice linens, towels and bathrobes. Brad and David are very hospitable, and shared dining and wine touring ideas that worked out perfectly for our short stay. The breakfasts were very elegantly served and quite tasty.

Quaint old house with beautiful grounds overlooking a vineyard. David & Brad are everything your could ask for in B&B hosts. They know the area inside out, they serve a great breakfast, and they are just fun people to talk to. They go out of their way to help with dinner plans and have great insights to the wineries in the area. Rooms are typical of a B&B and we had the one upstairs with a bathroom which was very convenient. Coffee was ready early in the morning just across the hall. They even offered to let us use the hose the day we left to wash the dirt from the dusty wine roads off our car. These guys are what staying in a bed & breakfast is all about.

Room Tip: We liked a room with a bathroom attached, although the others staying at the B&B seemed quite co...

Brad and David were extremely welcoming and accomodating. We entered the B&B welcomed by fresh baked almond brownies on the entryway table. After putting our bags in the room and cleaning up, we talked with them over a glass of pinot noir, from the Crumbled Rock winery just up the street, and they provided us with excellent dinner suggestions and even called to see what was open and make reservations for us. We woke up to the smell of coffee and joined another couple in the kitchen for fresh fruit and yogurt and a delicious basil and spicy sausage omelette with fresh tomatoes from their garden prepared by Brad. We only stayed one night, but they provided us with a map and suggestions for which vineyards they thought we would appreciate. The house and grounds are very charming and beautifully decorated and we very much enjoyed our stay in the Asian Room.

I just had a wonderful stay at the Dundee Manor and would recommend it to anyone who is staying in the area. The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable. The entire place is inviting and the hosts are so welcoming. Brad and Dave are making sure that all the details are in place to make your stay unforgettable. I just can't find the words to describe the breakfasts I had!! You won't forget it, believe me! They will see me again!

We stayed at Dundee Manor and have nothing but great things to say. The service was top notch, food was delicious, and we had an overall great time. I strongly recommend it to anyone who would like to wine taste in the Willamette region or make a trip to Portland.

This B&B was somewhat disappointing, particularly since we stayed at Chehalem Ridge B&B the night before. As Anita pointed out, no wine or appetizers. They only offered one time option for breakfast and we had to leave one morning prior to the serving . . . we got some fruit, scones, coffee and juice as our breakfast. There was nothing special about our room - a narrow add-on with a bed tucked into a corner. Our room was off the shared bathroom and was noisy as a result. Lovely gardens and it is a quaint house, but it did need some attention to detail in the cleaning department. There's plenty of competition in the area so we probably won't opt to go back.

Room Tip: Don't stay in the North America room.

Thanks itgumby for your review--we always appreciate it when a guests takes the time to do so---Ditto to the previous review answer from us--To address a few of your concerns--we did offer you a complimentary glass of wine since we are in the wine country it is natural to do so-this you can have at any time during your visit-we do not greet you at the front door with wine-An appetizer is served by request and demand on Saturdays only--what we do offer is complimentary snacks in your room and replenished daily-this was done-also bottled water to hydrate at no charge. Travlers often arrive late due to flights etc. and we always make sure they have something if they haven't eaten. This is the way the Manor conducts business for it's travlers. During your stay when you returned from your 12 hours of touring that you had made a Spa appointment at 9:15 for the next morning and that you wanted breakfast at 8--We accomodated you with what many B&B's serve as a full breakfast and were unable to change our menu since as I told you we were serving a Soufle' so we made you fresh scones-local fruit compote-coffee-tea 3 juices and pleated everything as we normally do--This is a full breakfast at most B&B's and we are sorry you didn't read that Breakfast is served at 9 am. You did join us the next morning and we hope you enjoyed that.
Now to briefly address the lodging--You booked on line -looked at pictures- and all the info --The North Anerican in this 1908 jewel is perhaps a favorite for many perhaps not you. You mention Dust which I can say does happen when all windows are open and the farm equipment is moving on the hill---As and owner who cleans we do so with extra effort.
Once again we appreciate you taking the time to respond and hope you next stay in the area will not be as challenging--Also we would like to say Thank You for mailing back our hard back collectors book that somehow got packed away----we share these with our guests and have for 8 years.....Hope you finished it--

The Dundee Manor website states it offers a complimentary glass of wine upon check in as well as complimentary appetizers and a computer available for use. We were never offered a glass of wine or appetizers, I could not get my iPad connected to wi-fi and was told to "be patient" but never asked if worked. Our room was well appointed but it was very hot during our stay. The decor was very dusty and the bathroom walls around the sink had many previous guests toothpaste splashed on them. The grounds were gorgeous, breakfast delicious and Brad and David were helpful with directions and restaurant choices.

Thank you so much for your feedback on the Manor, it is very much appreciated. We take these reviews very seriously in our efforts to continue to maintain our high standards of customer service as we have for the past 8 years.
To address a few of your concerns we do offer appetizers on Saturdays if our guests so desire usually they are satisfied with the en-suite snacks we provide and replenish daily along with water at no charge. A glass of Wine is definitly offered either on arrival or at some point during your stay and for some reason you were missed and probably since we were assisting with your Bicycling adventure. The Wifi thru Comcast was having issues and the signal is picked up better in various locations - I am happy to say is fixed---The Lap Top is available upon request to check e-mails only and is in our Business office ---as a courtesy to those who need to stay connected. Most people bring their own equipment and we assist with Boarding Passes being printed out etc.
You mentioned that your suite was dusty-we often dust twice a day during the Summer since being in the Wine Country with tractors plowing next door on three sides and your Windows open it is virtually impossible to be dustless---I think the solution would have been to shut your windows and put the Air Conditioner on perhaps this would have helped.
We were glad that we could accommodate your early departure with fresh fruit and a beverage for your long trip back to Lodi---Our Best for the rest of the Summer -Good Bicycling !!
