We stayed here during the Chief Joseph Days weekend because it was one of the few rooms available in the county. I'd stayed before when it was a Best Western, and it was ok then. The hotel recently reopened with new owners.
The room itself was nice and big and worked well for my family. Two nice Queens, a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. There is a decent indoor pool and spa that my granddaughter begged to swim in. (And that was quite fine.)
Unfortunately, things were haphazard and disorganized. Their accounting system must be a mess because I was told that I'd put my deposit on a Mastercard instead of my Visa. I overheard other guests asking for a receipt and the clerk struggling to understand what they needed and even asking why they needed a receipt.
There was no elevator, and our room keys repeatedly didn't work. (We'd ask for three, and not one would work.) Sometimes they worked once, and then not the next time. Climbing up and down the stairs with our things--and sometimes small children--this was really frustrating.
The breakfast room was laid out in such disorder that it made no sense at all. Visitors were jostling past each other to get a plate or napkin, sometimes with cups of hot coffee. The eggs were overboiled to the point they couldn't be peeled. The waffle batter was thick and nearly unusable. The sausage patties were so greasy they soaked through the cheap paper plates onto the little tables.
The beds were the firmest we'd ever slept on so no one slept well, and we were a bit cranky.
It's possible that the hotel was in such disorder because it was a very big week so one might want to give them the benefit of the doubt. It was just really unfortunate.
