“Very nice place to stay.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

This is a very nice rv park. The sites are very level with grass, trees, and lovely landscaping. It is very clean. You do not feel like you are right on top of each other as with other RV parks. We really enjoyed the large grass field in the middle for throwing the ball around. The wi-fi works well and there is free cable TV.

My one complaint is that there are only two bathrooms for the entire park. While they are clean and spacious, two just doesn't seem like enough.

We did not use the laundry room so I can't comment on that.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed at Deerwood twice and are returning again next week. The sites are landscaped and large enough for big rigs. We appreciate the spacious sites, green spaces and the cleanliness and neatness of Deerwood RV park.

Was looking for a nice RV park to land my 5th wheel while we visited my son who goes to the University here in Eugene. I have checked out all the rv sites in this area, and this is by far the best. Located on beautiful grounds, with lots of grass and trees and generous back ins and pull throughs, this is the perfect spot for an overnighter or extended stay. While staying here in Dec of 2013 we got hit by a snow storm which extended our stay until road conditions improved. The park is close to i5, but not so close that you get the highway noise. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Very close to downtown Eugene but you really feel like you are out in the country. Will definitely stay here again.

This place is clean, manicured, quiet, etc. It has a huge green in the middle to do all kinds of things. It's got water features, but that's a "meh..." in my book.

So lets start with the pull-in. There is enough room for 1 RV to sit and check in at the entrance - that's it. Not great, but wasn't an issue when we were there. Our off-season check-in was later than usual, but they left the reservation on the door like normal.

The space pull-through was not the greatest for my setup (5th wheel - read my profile for info). The space was barely long enough, was barely wide enough (and I'm talking side to side without pop outs open) and had no fire ring. Space between the sites next to the pull throughs would be an issue for us during summer months since we like to eat outside and enjoy the evenings. Each space has a small table with 2 chairs as well. Pull throughs have their power and water at the start of the pull through, so a longer hose may be needed.

My wife went to use the on-site shower instead of us hooking up water for one evening (freeze warning, I didn't want the hose nor needing to dump the next morning). The bathrooms are huge family-style rooms with Shower/Commode/Sink in them (there are 2 of these in the front campground). The laundry rooms (again, 2) are the same setup with a washer/dryer, couch and toys. Her issue came in when the shower didn't have hot water, but the sink did, even after running the shower for several minutes, then switched to see if the water was piped backwards...nope. I ended up pumping water into our internal tank for one night then dumping in the morning.

Check-out.... 11am. I wish it was a bit later, especially when there were plenty of slots open, but each place is different. A late checkout, even in the off-season is charged as a full extra night's stay.

There were a lot of long-term residents here as well, so I could see this place fill up quickly during the summer months.

This park was very CLEAN and the staff was so friendly,we stayed three nights. All other parks should look to Deerwood to see how to run a RV park! Green grass was mowed and Sat. Morning breakfast time provided and cooked by Deerwood was fun. Always hot coffee on in the office. Quite yet close to Eugene.

This was a quick overnight stay and we very happy to have anyplace.. but this is a stop we will do again on our way south...Blake was so helpful on the phone before we got there and very nice after. The place is so clean, quite, beautiful, and the cleanness bathes we have seen in any RV park. Paved, level, pull through..we will be back on our way home in a couple of months. Easy on/off I-5

Picking an RV park when traveling is a real crapshoot...some are crowded or back to loud roads or have nothing but asphalt and filthy showers and bathrooms. NOT Deerwood. The place is tidy, well laid out, nestled in trees and even though it's not far off the interstate the noise was minimal and i am sensitive to that. Value is good and the location is as good as it gets if you want to enjoy the Eugene stuff (go Ducks). I bet this place fills early for UO home game weekends!

As a warning the mix here is a tad older and some of the rigs are dee-luxe. If you are looking for some Oregon funk this may be too buttoned down for you. If your sensitive to noise or folks strolling by be sure to let them know you'd like a back row spot...those back to a forest.

i would return without a second thought.
