“Now serving breakfast and lunch”

As noted by another reviewer, the sushi is gone and Kamitori is now serving Japanese-style baked goods and breakfast and lunch items. In addition to familiar American breakfast dishes, the menu lists a Japanese breakfast set meal, Japanese sandwiches, tonkatsu, curry with rice, and udon and soba noodle soups, some of which are carryovers from the previous menu. I have been twice to the new restaurant and have been pleasantly surprised. The French toast is made with their fresh baked bread and served with real maple syrup. I had mine topped with strawberries and blueberries, and it was delicious. The pork cutlet (katsu) sandwich was also very good. So, while I miss the sushi, there are still many reasons to come here.

"Kamitori is not serving sushi any more. As of July 8th 2014, we are serving Breakfast and Lunch with some Japanese Baked goods."

I'm not entirely sure what this means just yet, as I haven't been back recently. I had come here to leave a review based on the previous iteration of the restaurant, which did serve some of the best sushi in town. However that no longer seems applicable.

Best. Japanese. Food. Ever! There is another Japanese restaurant fairly close by that is also good and has more "ambience" but this one had the best authentic FOOD!! I was in heaven.

This is an original sushi place. The food is actually Japanese. There are homemade pickles that are innovative using local food. The sushi maker has the old time feel of dedication. He looks to have been at it for so many years. The original simple sushi is best here without the fancy sauces made to please the abused western student palate. This is the place to go.

A very busy restaurant , but no problem with waiting staff . There was only one chef on and the waiter warned there might be a wait for our main courses but I didn't notice much of a delay . My first experience of sushi and sushini and loved every bit of it .
