After spending 5 days on the Oregon coast relying on trip advisor to find decent accommodations at a discount price, Timbers Motel was the jackpot!! Great location (we walked to the University of Oregon campus-my husband's dream), good size room that looked like it was recently updated (including the bathroom) and very comfy beds. I would recommend this motel to anyone coming to Eugene.

Conveniently located, Timbers offers clean spacious rooms at excellent prices. The building seems a bit older, and this isn't a fancy place, but the rooms have been nicely updated -- ours had a hardwood floor, which complemented the beams in the ceiling. Our king size bed was extremely comfortable. If I were returning to Eugene, Timbers is where I would stay.

Stayed here for one night the first night of our road trip to Reno. Room was very comfortable and updated. Quiet, air conditioned room and within walking distance to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for one night on a road trip up to Seattle and really enjoyed our stay. Lovely room with character - not just your standard motel room. There were renovations happening either adjacent or below which caused a bit of noise disruption but that didn't bother us too much! The guy at reception was so friendly and helpful - he was able to give flawless directions to the couple in front of us in the queue and gave us some good recommendations for things to do!

The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean and we had a good, restful night's stay. The breakfast was just a small selection of continental items in the reception area - no real space to eat them apart from taking them back to the room - but we enjoyed our bagels, muffins and OJ. We were also able to easily use the laundry service - you have to go to reception to get the key but they seemed happy enough to let us keep the key for the couple of hours we were doing our washing so it wasn't a hinderance at all.

Overall I was very happy with the service and would definitely recommend and return!

My friend and I stayed here June 20-22, 2014 while in Eugene for the Black Sheep Gathering fiber festival, as did many other festival attendees, we noticed. The Timbers Motel does everything right and has the right set of priorities. The beds are great. Our room was immaculately clean. Water pressure and shower head height were great (I'm tall). They have a coin operated washer and dryer for laundry, which is fast becoming a rarity: too many hotels say they have laundry and really mean "expensive laundry service."

The rooms are clean and modern but that, fortunately, does NOT mean The Timbers ripped out the awesome wood accents so reminiscent of the Pacific Northwest. In the morning, the free breakfast offering was just enough to be done right (bagels, croissants and fruit) and the coffee was very good. The location is perfect: walkable from Amtrak (we took the Coast Starlight in), near the bus depot, cabs come quickly and can find it easily if you need one, and we enjoyed plenty of delicious food right nearby.

This is just a fantastic bargain with high value and I hope it doesn't change! Highly recommended and I won't look anywhere else for my next trip to Eugene.

Comfy queen bed, small room, scratchy toilet paper, but decently priced and centrally located. It is about 5 blocks from the UofO and even closer to the 5th Street Mall. The room was cool with wood ceilings. The towels rated a 2 on the scale of 4 with 4 being soft. Quiet place and I would stay again.

We found this motel by accident and thought it was a great price and so close to the downtown area (walking distance to bars, restaurants, etc.). Our King room was recently updated furniture, carpet, bedding and bathroom. It was a super comfy bed and had all amenities of a $250 room, for a fifth of the price! I did see into one other room that was not updated yet, so be sure to ask for an upgraded room! Also, really nice landscaping by office and beautiful hanging flower pots everywhere!

Room Tip: Ask for an upgraded room (new bedding mainly).
