“Just what we wanted”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014

We wanted a double near the U. of Oregon with no parking problems. Because I really like to have a tub we had to pay more. We didn't need or use two double beds except that one was broken down. But it was promptly fixed. Very pleasant, helpful staff. Buffet breakfast kept nicely though the omlette was stone cold and filled with a strange, tomato-like substance. Yogurt, pancakes, nice beacon first day but then sausage. Better to offer both. USA Today, WSJ and NY Times free. Very nice! Was upset by so much chlorine in the pool. We didn't use it or the jacuzzi but the fumes waffed all through the lobby, very unhealthy, especially for children whose lungs are even more at risk. There must to something better by now to kill pool germs! It was off putting to pay over $40 for Friday night -a rip off. Nowhere at all nice nearby to dine w/o your car. Sadly, they are building a student dorm next door!

Room Tip: Stay on the other side of the dorm

Traveling with 3 older teenagers, I really wanted a place to be able to spread out and get some space after a long day of close quarters in the car. This hotel fit the bill nicely. The queen suite offered us 3 beds to choose from, when you include the sofa bed. I liked the choices of soft vs. Firm pillow. My girls enjoyed swimming, but they thought the water was a little too cold. Close to a good little market of the "Whole Foods"- type (we hit up their deli for dinner) and convenient distance to the U of O. Dutch Bros. Coffee in the parking lot will save you coffee snobs from having to subject yourselves to the standard hotel coffee fare. ;-) The breakfast was more than just muffins, yogurt and cold cereal - there were some hot options as well, like omelettes, sausage patties, and biscuits and gravy.
Helpful and friendly front desk staff took the time to draw out a map of our destination on campus, as well as the best alternate route to get there.
Construction noise was not a factor since we stayed on a Saturday/Sunday.
A nice visit. I would stay here again.

This hotel is very convenient if you are visiting U of O. The rooms have been updated and were very clean and comfortable. Nice bathrooms that were well stocked and comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and it was quiet. There is construction going on next door - but because we were there for a Saturday night they weren't working so it didn't trouble us at all. The included breakfast was GREAT. We have eaten at a lot of them and this was by far the best. It was well stocked (even on a busy Sunday morning), and they had tons of options, including HEALTHY choices. In addition to the regular eggs, pancakes, sausage and gravy, you could choose oatmeal, cereals, fruits, and yogurts. Definitely a huge plus when choosing this hotel!

We stayed there this past weekend (5/30-6/1) it was good. I can say the best thing was the pillows. I literally wanted to steal them, they felt more comfortable then my mom home pillows.

There was construction going on but I never heard it. The parking lot is small but I always found parking regardless what time I returned. Enjoyed the stay!

My daughter and I stayed here for a trip over to Eugene for a college tour. The location is good for freeway access, as well as to the University of Oregon. The rooms are clean and it's relatively quiet (you can sometimes hear the train go by--but that's common in the hotels along the railroad tracks in Eugene) The breakfast was really nice with a good selection for nearly everyone, including gluten free. The only concern I may have with this location in the future, is that there is a student housing building going in right next door.

We made it in about 11:30 at night and were glad to see the Night Shift clerk had a pleasant attitude. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. I was very impressed with Toni on the breakfast bar. It is nice to see an employee that takes pride in doing their job well. She was always doing something or looking for something to do to make it a better experience.

We stayed just one night on our way home from a week long trip in Oregon. But it was the best stay of our trip. Large room, Comfy bed, plenty of pillows, great breakfast, HOT hot tub, indoor pool, and very friendly staff. And an easy drive to Voo Doo Donuts. Someday my hubby will learn how to use those tv remote controls so as to NOT order a movie by mistake. Front desk easily removed the chafe.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the construction going on next door to this property.
