Stayed recently for two nights. Room was very hot, they couldn't get the air conditioning working. Fans were brought in. Very loud. Had to unplug the in-room refridgerator because it made so much noise it kept us awake at night. The room was nicely appointed, however, the bathroom needs upgrading, and the bedspread did not look like it had been washed in a good while. We ate breakfast there only once and it wasn't anything special. Staff was very nice. We think that one of the owners was there late on our second evening there. He was not in the least bit friendly and actually seemed annoyed that we would ask for an early breakfast the next day to accommodate our schedule. We ended up not getting breakfast and he gave us a slight break on the nightly rate. Can't really recommend it as a great place to stay. Proximity to the college is the greatest plus for this place.

Great location near the University (go ducks). With 13 rooms, more a small inn or a large b&b. The floral motif could drive you crazy after awhile, but really pleasant for a short stay. Mostly ample parking. Comfortable, bright rooms. Service of young staff cheerful and energetic. Breakfasts make an attempt at gourmet but not successfully -- stick to the simpler offerings. Complementary coffee and soft drinks a nice added touch

We had an extended stay and were treated like royalty! The B&B is a lovely and beautifully decorated mansion and gardens, with spacious, sunny common area alcoves, rooms and decks in which to work or hang out. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Best of all - the staff is helpful and considerate. I have a dietary need which they took care of beautifully. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious - and there are usually a zillion choices - unusual for a B&B.

I stayed from 3-3-14 to 9-3-14. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Nothing to dislike, but moreover, lots to like. Pleasant staff, walking distance to some great eateries, a small general store and close to the university. The bed was extremely comfortable, plenty of choice for breakfast and plenty of communal or private areas to relax indoors as the weather was not the best. Quiet location, but with student accommodation nearby it may be noisy from time to time but I did not experience any disturbance.
Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Spent three nights at Secret Garden Inn in the Edelweiss room, overall a pleasant but uneven experience; this place is close to very good but not quite there. Room was furnished with quality furniture and a nice bed, but this particular room was too small for desk and chair; get a larger room if you plan to work. Bathroom had decent shower but chinese toiletries were poor quality. Nice people at the desk and very friendly service, but very difficult to contact on the phone; could not reach someone live in six-plus tries by calling. Room was clean upon arrival but not cleaned in a Thurs-Sun stay; bathroom at least needed tidying and bathroom floor could've used a good scrubbing. Windows can open, but do not stay open. The actual "Secret garden" part of property has a cute but sadly broken hot tub and is not really in use. Complimentary breakfast was plentiful, with decent coffee and egg choices and especially good yogurt and bread, but grapefruit was canned and single slice of apple was brown. Daily NY Times, Keurig coffee machine in sitting room and fresh cookies in the lobby were highlights of the stay. I would recommend for location and service, with the caveat that they should clean the room every couple days at least, and serve fresh fruit at breakfast.

I stayed at the secret garden and it worked. It was good but not great. It looks and feels a bit run down. It could use a little more cleaning - at least my room. I appreciated the breakfasts and it was conveniently located to walk to the University of Oregon. There was not staff around all the time and so I felt there was not someone to answer any questions I had. The side door - where you enter after like 8? - was left open one night when I came back do I felt it could be more secure.
