There are a ton of places to eat in Old Town Florence and while we only visited Restobar, it's hard for me to imagine another restaurant with as good of food.

I ordered the pesto linguine with salmon which was very good, while my wife got the parmesean crusted halibut which was also very good. At first we thought the menu was overpriced but once the food arrived, it was delicious with healthy portions.

Restobar was not without its downside though. We visited on a busy day and were seated outside in the back right next to the restroom (which was almost like an outhouse). Our waitress was great, but because she was the only person working we saw little of her. Our food also took a really long time to arrive, which was disappointing.

The atmosphere, decor and menu all seemed a little more upscale than the other restaurants on the street. If we visited Florence again, we would definitely return as long as it's not a busy day.

Note: My wife would've given it 5 stars

We stopped in to order a pizza to go on our way back up the coast. The restaurant is very clean and the staff were very nice, my disappointment was that after seeing the plates being taken to the tables around us we couldn't stay! The pizza was good but their prime rib looked awesome, next trip we're going for more than pizza!

This small restaurant in a scenic town is a gem. Its open kitchen turns out some mighty fine eats. Sticking to a seafood theme (and why not in this area?) we selected a seafood pasta and a Dungeness crab melt for lunch. Both were stellar. Fettuccine tossed in a rich white wine and fresh garlic sauce served a backdrop for the shrimp, fish and scallops. Which there were plenty of. Generous chunks of the crab served on rosemary bread was nicely covered with Cheddar served along with kettle chips.

This restaurant has been a favorite for me. Their cocktails are excellent, especially the lemon drop.
I always enjoy the thin crust pizza too. Sandwiches and pastas are all excellent too. The portions are generous and always tasty. Service is excellent too. Be sure to make reservations since they do tend to get busy especially during dinner time.

Started out with the best clam chowder on the west coast. Friendly waitresses. It's a little small but not crowded seating. We had the crusted halibut. It was the best ever. Very thick piece and very tender. Cooked perfectly. Sat by the window (there is outside seating) and watched the world go by.
Will definitely go back when we are in the aarea.
