“Family camping”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 via mobile

We come here every year for our family reunion camp week. Some of us have tents, some motor homes. Either way it's fun! Bathrooms and showers are close. Camp spots are clean and well sized. Bushes make them private. You are close to the dunes and two lakes - Cleawox and Woahink. We bring a small boat, tubes, a paddle board and other floaties. Lots if trails to walk with the dog.

“Just a day trip, but a very pleasant one”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Sandboarded above the lake on a hot, hot Sunday afternoon in August. Thought it would be crowded but was pleasantly surprised it was not.

The lake was absolutely gorgeous, a very swimmable temperature, lots of activities for kids of all ages from playing on the dunes to renting boats or kayaks.

One young kid we spoke to while sandboarding told us that he was camping there and didn't like the loud noise at night from the ATV's. I've seen that in other reviews so I'm not sure if I'd stay there overnight, but at least I've been informed!

Beautiful, well-maintained state park. Loved the lakes, kayak and boat rentals, lovely volunteers to help you. Built in 1936 by the CCC - incredible workmanship. Please, don't miss this park!
