I spent a night at the Best Western and arrived too late to want to explore the restaurants in old town Florence. The Bay View - which it has btw - was a convenient place for me to eat. I sat at the bar, which has a half dozen stools. There were three brews on tap. A regular patron at the bar recommend the patty melt, so I took the suggestion. It was a solid choice, and came with fries. I started with a salad, and that was decent too. The menu is a mix of bar food, with some good entree options. The restaurant is small, but the view of the river is really nice. After dinner I walked across the bridge into old town. It was closer than I expected, with a ton of restaurant options. Next time I stay at the BW I will head over the bridge for dinner instead of hitting the Bay View. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant is fine. There's just more options and better ambiance a short walk over the river.
