Very convenient location if you're traveling down to the Oregon coast and want to stay in an affordable yet very nice hotel. Our room was very clean, we were really impressed by that. There's a small fridge and a microwave plus a coffee maker in each room, which comes handy if you want to have your own breakfast in the morning. Very quiet spot and conveniently located near centre town. We had a very nice stay here and we would definitely recommend it!

My sister and I booked this place just for the night as we needed a place to stop off during our road trip.
On arrival the place looks very lovely and tidy and well kept, even though its straight of the main road. You never felt like the road was even there.
We checked in very easily and the owners were both very polite and helpful to us throughout our stay.
The room itself was quite large and very clean plus it had all the amenities such as fridge, microwave, TV and a good shower (always important after a long day of driving).
The decor went well with the place, it definitely had character and we both liked it.
It was a short distance from a gorgeous little town with many places to explore and great places to eat also.
We both had a lovely night here and would definitely come back if needed to and even recommend. Thanks for a great stay! :)

Stayed in the orca 2 adults and 4 children. Booked our cabin before arrival. They quoted us one price upon booking..however..upon arrival/check in the price JUMPED over $80! We ended up paying $279 for one night. And our one child who was 2 1/2..they made us count down to the day how old he was to charge accordingly. We checked into our cabin and it seemed overal nice. The room right off the entry was always very cold despite having the heater on full blast and the slider closed. At night none of us slept. Itchy and scratchy all night long. On check out we were told that was the pet friendly cabin.. (im assuming it was flea infested beds). They didnt offer a refund of any amount, no apology for not disclosing it was a pet friendly room nor an apology for the horrible nights sleep. We couldve gotten better service for less money at the best western across the way.

Dont waste your money or your time. Its not worth it. Horrible service. Too old for the business their running.

I recently stayed at the Park Motel on my Oregon Coast adventure! I stayed in one of the cabins, and I just loved everything about it!

It is a beautiful setting, and even though you are right on 101, you feel like you are in the forest! I did enjoy the cabin, but the motel rooms looked really cute too.

It was a rainy night, so I really felt cozy in my cabin. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. It is a short drive to Old Town, Florence, which is very nice. I really enjoyed walking around and checking out the shops.

I highly recommend this cute motel with a wonderful feeling of an older time. Hospitality means something at the Park Motel, and I sure do appreciate it! I hope to stay there again soon!

Love the older motif of this motel and park, nicely maintained landscape and rooms. A little musty when we checked in, maybe it's time for the carpets to be replaced but overall very happy with our stay. Will stay there again every time I visit.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the end if you can, sometimes can hear the neighbors next door, cabins really nice...

Once again I can not thank everyone at Trip Advisor enough. We changed our plans due to the weather and needed a place to stay in Florence. The Park Motel had excellent reviews and was close to the Historic Downtown. We decided to give it a try and are so happy we did. Margaret greeted us as we checked in with a smile and plenty of advice. The rooms were standard style with a small fridge and microwave. The room was very tidy and the bed was quite comfortable. There was no road noise, as the motel sits back from the highway. The motel policy of quiet after a certain hour meant that even though full, the motel was quiet for sleeping. Margaret thank you for the suggestion for dinner. The crab encrusted halibut was delicious.

Summary: Expect basic competence at The Park Motel, not luxury. Their A-Frame cabin is basic, no-frills lodging that feels like staying in your grandparents' vacation cabin. It seemed clean and basically maintained, but it had a few issues (uncomfortable mattress, torn window screen, non-working porch light, dirty picnic table area, outside trash/weeds/cigarette butts not getting policed) that made us question the cost ($138/night for two people, plus $10/night per additional person).

Details: The Park Motel is located on a beautiful, woodsy site (we picked blackberries outside our front door); it is just south of the Siuslaw River bridge, right next door to the well-reviewed "Morgan's Country Kitchen" diner which serves breakfast/lunch, and across Hwy. 101 from a convenience store. The Park Motel includes two different styles of lodgings, as if two properties were merged together at some point. Next to the motel office, staffed by the friendly and helpful resident owners, there is a 1950s style motel court with a series of rooms side by side. Just past the end of the motel court, there are several group cabins. We had 3 adults staying in the unique A-Frame cabin during a family trip to Florence in late August. The A-Frame cabin has two floors, with one bedroom (queen bed) on the main floor, along with a sleeper sofa in the living/dining area. Upstairs is an open area with a queen bed on one end and two single beds on the other. Pets are allowed in the A-Frame with a required cleaning deposit, and inside seemed clean; we noticed a very tiny hint of pet odor in one area, almost unnoticeable. The small bathroom, cute kitchenette and combined dining/living room are all on the first floor. The furnishings are mismatched and very dated, and some decor is unintentionally funny, like the framed calendar photos on the wall, but things seemed basically clean and maintained, if a little kitschy. The kitchen features a full-sized refrigerator, 4-burner electric cooktop, and a small combination microwave/convection oven. The kitchen had a toaster and a coffeemaker with coffee packets provided. Dishes, pots, pans and utensils are all provided, as well as dish soap, a dishrack and tools for washing up (you'll need to bring your own paper towels). Outside, near the front door with its covered car park, the A-Frame has a small picnic table with a backyard-style charcoal grill. We didn't use it, but I checked the grill, which was fairly clean with minimal rust around the edges; there was a grill lifter and grill cleaning brush hanging there. I wasn't inclined to use the picnic table because it wasn't being kept clean; it seemed like their staff could have blown leaves and debris away and wiped down the table and benches regularly to keep it more inviting for guests. That said, I guess we could have done it ourselves; the A-Frame had cleaning equipment like brooms, dustpans, vacuum cleaners and a toilet plunger tucked all around inside (just like at Grandpa's cabin!) in case you have the need to clean up messes between the daily housekeeping visits; a sign mentions the office can provide cleaning rags if needed. The A-Frame is situated very close to Hwy. 101 with large screen doors on both floors facing the highway, so we probably experienced more road noise there than if we had stayed in one of the other cabins, which are set quite a bit farther back. However, when we had the doors closed and drapes drawn at night, the road noise didn't disturb us, and there were plenty of other windows facing away from the road for ventilation. The queen bed downstairs was uncomfortable; one side felt like a big soft marshmallow, but the other side might have a box spring problem, and I could feel the frame or springs no matter how I turned. That side of the bed felt like sleeping on an old sofa bed where you can feel the frame through it. This was a make-do lodging situation, so we traded off sides of the bed during our weekend stay and let the owners know it should be replaced. Because it was an A-Frame, everything in the cabin was compact and set up to save space; for example, the bathroom was tiny, like a wood-paneled airplane restroom with a small fiberglass shower built in. Even our tall/wide family members fit in it okay, so it did the job. Because spaces are so often shared in this cabin, you might want to bring your own air freshener spray for the bathroom. I found it hard to imagine the cabin filled with its maximum occupancy of 8 people. Like the TV remote with its missing cover and taped-in batteries, there was a lot about the Park Motel A-Frame that seemed make-do, and would have been excusable if Grandpa was letting us borrow the family cabin, but not as acceptable when we are paying for our stay.

Room Tip: The A-Frame cabin is very close to highway and probably gets much more road noise than the other gro...
