We took Kids from ages 7-15 and they all had a blast. Great advice for beginners, awesome service. They allow you to return your board and exchange for a different one if desired

Thank JorAmy

We took our grandkids here 2 years ago when they visited from Texas...it was the highlight of their trip...so this year when they came that was the first thing on the list...everyone had a great time.
Even Grandpa tried it and Mom and Dad too! Try it-you will like it and keep coming back for more!
No fee to use the dunes but you need to rent the boards...you get to use them for a full 24 hours and can go anywhere you want to use them. There are dunes with easy access just down the road from the Park, or if you are daring and want really high dunes, Honeyman State Park is just down the road a few miles.

I took my 67 yr old brother, his 42 yr old daughter and her 7 yr old daughter sandboarding this spring for their first time. We arranged for a one-hour lesson by Gabe, the reigning world sandboard champion, out on the sand dunes behind the Sand Master Park shop. Gabe was very clear in his instructions and patient with gentle advice. While the adults needed more detailed information, the 7-yr. old needed a helping hand and encouragement to keep going after the falls. The practice dune seemed small until you were staring down the slope on the first few runs, trying to figure out how to manage to stay up until the bottom of the hill and not end up splayed out on the sand. By the end of the hour my brother and his granddaughter were sliding all the way down, running back up to the top and loving it! One of the cool things about sandboarding is that it’s not complicated…a simple (but well-designed) board that you put your bare or stocking feet into…and a sandy slope…that’s it! And really, almost anyone can get the hang of it. The lesson was a fun and safe way to start. Next time we’ll rent the boards and take them down to Honeyman State Park where the real big dunes are!I took my 67 yr old brother, his 42 yr old daughter and her 7 yr old daughter sandboarding this spring for their first time. Everything about my day at Sand Master Park was AWESOME! My instructor Jordan quickly eased my fears and sent me flying down the dunes (without falling!), giving me a new and thrilling way to experience the Oregon Coast. I can’t wait to go back, rent a board and take it out the mega dunes at Honeyman State Park!
