Weren't sure what to expect, but we really liked Aspen Inn. Heidi was the friendlies innkeeper and even brought me a "glass" wineglass!!! Too funny! Thanks Heidi.......the Inn in close to the entrance of Crater Lake. You may want to take food or pick something up before getting to Fort Klamath area tho because there is VERY LITTLE close by. I loved that there was only 1 channel on the tv......:) I wanted to be away from that and you are!

Room Tip: Take food.....the casino is 14 miles away as well as Annie's Restaurant in Crater Lake.

Most friendly staff ever and very clean and comfortable. The owners went above and beyond to be kind and accommodating, even giving us a ride when we were desperate. We highly recommend this motel. A good place for families or couples with pets. Our dog Oscar loved it here and was even given his own care basket. The wood river is a short walk away and is very refreshing! The. Owner takes pride in her place and it shows in every corner. Love!

Room Tip: We had a "suite" that was perfect for two and a dog.

We have stayed in a number of places though the years because, they were the closers we could find to a national park. Typically, we would arrive with very low expectations and still be disappointed. The Aspen Inn finally broke that losing streak.

It is not The Ritz. Do not expect it to be. It is a simple country hotel. Having said that it was quaint, clean and showed pride in ownership. There is no pool but, there is a pretty little river that runs by the property which you can swim in.

What takes this place from a clean 3 or 4 are the owners. We stayed 2 nights and from the moment we arrived until we left they were friendly, helpful and courteous. I do not know if it was planned but, they knew we were traveling with my son and put sheets with stars and moons on the extra bed they brought in. Their recommendations for restaurants accurate .

Quiet, beautifully landscaped, immaculately clean, comfortable beds, dog friendly. The only thing missing was breakfast. We stayed in one of the newly remodeled motel rooms. The little A Frames looked adorable tho. The owner, Heidi is a sweetheart, and made us feel so welcome. Easy drive from Crater Lake. Great price too!!

Perfect distance away from the south entrance to Crater Lake. Staff was uber helpful and polite. Don't be fooled by the lack of a/c. It was perfectly cool at night even though it was in the 90s during the day.

Loved this as a stop prior to heading into Crater Lake. Highly recommend! A frame was great and cool breeze blowing through in August was fantastic. Is not fancy but the kids loved it! Owners super friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Aspen Inn. We weren't real sure what to expect, but found the staff to be very warm and welcoming. They were available to be helpful in any way that they could. The lodge that we stayed in was very clean and we enjoyed the opportunity to have our packed dinner at their picnic table. There aren't any restaurants in the area, but we found a wonderful little (tiny) natural foods store within a mile of the Inn. The Klamath Basin is gorgeous and we will certainly stay at the Inn again when we return for bird watching.
