DON'T!! This was the worst room I've ever stayed in. It smelled bad, the plumbing didn't work, the sheets were very thin and slid all over the place on a very hard bed. The pillows were scary--small and pinched like they had been used too many times by too many people. The noise was horrendous. The motel is situated in a lovely spot above the river, but sounds like it sits in the middle of a freeway. It catches every bit of traffic noise as it must come up through the canyon. There is no in-room refrigerator, microwave or coffeemaker. The ice machine had no ice The coffee in the office was so thin you could see through it looking straight down into the cup. Spare yourself and go anywhere else.

I don't quite know where to start, the friendly welcome, the outstanding location, the views, the wildlife. This place has it all.
Not your usual Motel 6 at all. Great rooms all facing across the Rogue River, with seating across the parking lot to get an even better view. Whilst seated in this area having an early coffee I saw my first wild Bald Eagle on the first day and was within 6 feet of a grazing deer the second morning. How I wish I'd stayed longer.
Dining is no problem. A short drive to the riverside with river views or a short walk the other way to the harbour for river views, and all with easy reach of a charming town and the Pacific Ocean.
THIS ONE DEFINITELY DESERVES A RE--VISIT.

This was a surprise - it used to be the Jott's Resort, I believe - lovely, quiet large room with king-size bed. Room down the walkway is a corner room with a gorgeous view. Room rates are set as Motel 6 rates plus a little more for the view rooms, but an excellent accommodation with a good price.

Nice location facing the river and bridge, not too much traffic noise considering and it died down later. More interesting "rustic" construction than the average Motel 6.

Still the trademark Motel 6 rude/suspicious "welcome" at the front desk, still the usual Motel 6 lightweight construction with plumbing echoing all around, hard beds, minimalist pillows, lack of basics like clock radio, hairdryer, shampoo etc. Customers seemed more respectable than a typical Motel 6 though.

Free interet is available in (only) some rooms.

All in all, one of the better Motel 6's, quite OK for an overnight stop (although the pillows did give me neckache).

Considering the prices paid and the cold, barren quality of the rooms and the fact there is no internet access, combined with spartan amenities and somewhat difficult to enter/exit location, we were not at all impressed. Also considering this is "off peak" season for the coast, the fact his motel charges resort rate for bare bones accommodations is ridiculous. The view of the river and Patterson Bridge is lovely, but there are many far better motels and lodges in the area with equally stunning views charging much less while offering much more. Also located almost out of the city of Gold Beach, with access to town achievable via a tricky left hand turn on to Highway 101. Treacherous, particularly exiting. Walls made of painted cinderblocks...is this meant to be rustic? Rooms do not allow for privacy, so if you are not close family members or friends, it is recommended that you book separate rooms rather than attempting to share, thus costing a lot more money.

Great place to stay as a stopover on trips up the Coast of Oregon. According to staff, this Motel 6 was formerly another chain and the rooms are larger than most Motel 6s, some even having a microwave and fridge. Otherwise the usual bare bones with no coffee maker, hair dryer or other extra frills but the price is excellent for a very clean room and friendly staff at this pet friendly motel. Nice view from upstairs rooms. I always stay here on my frequent trips from California to the Oregon coast.

We spent two nights here as we took the all day Mail Boat trip up the Rogue River. The trip was very exciting and well worth it.

The rooms were larger than the average Motel 6 and were very clean. The beds were very comfortable.

In the morning and early evening some deer even come into the parking lot to eat some food set out for them.
