My companion was familiar with this chain, so we stayed the night while heading back to California. The price is cheap and we soon found out why.
I asked for a second floor room. We were given a key to a ground floor room. I went back to the office and was assured no one would be assigned the room above us. We were also told there were coupons for the TapRock Restaurant, but they never appeared.
The interior of the reception room, the hallways, the buildings are dark, old and uninviting. The room was dreary, dark and furnished in old, uninspired furniture. The walls are thin, making the room fairly noisy. On the plus side, the room and bathroom were very clean. The bathroom is very small and not well lit, but again, it is clean and for that reason alone, I give this place an average rating, but can't recommend it.More
