We just got home from last night from a WONDERFUL visit to Grants Pass where we stayed for the first time at Motel Del Rouge(not the last). We had all o4 our kids with us ranging in age from 10-20 and they loved it as much as we did. The two youngest said over and over it was their favorite motel ever. The proprieters are the nicest people, the cats are adorable. The fact that they recycle won two thumbs up from us. I was so suprised to read a bad review that honestly I figure that this person must be hard to please because we didn't have a bad moment. I told Kevin we will be back (maybe without the kids this time). We can't wait. Thanks for a perfect vacation. The Wosnum -Riley family

This is our third time and we intent to return again. Kevin and his wife go out of their way to take care of their guests! It is right on the river with beautiful trees and grass, yet close enough to Grants Pass to buzz in when desired make this location the best. It is great for family gatherings also (we had about 20 of us there at one time). We go kayaking, rafting, fishing, and just lounging out in the yard overlooking the river. Both fun and relaxing.

Motel del Rogue is a jewel like none other. The Inn-Keepers consistently go out of their way to make every guest comfortable. We just finished our 3rd family reunion here and consensus is there's no reason to look further. I'll gladly drive 10 hours again next year for a chance to spend a few days with family on the banks of the river at Motel del Rogue in Grants Pass, OR!

We wouldn’t stay anywhere else! In fact we actually own a home here now, and still we stay at The Rogue. The Motel was built in the 1930’s and the owner’s have remained true to its heritage; outfitting it with vintage furnishings from the 30’-50’s and making each room a unique treasure. We would know, over the years we have stayed in almost all of the rooms. Most of the rooms have spacious balconies that look out on the Rogue River where you can see fish jumping or watch Canadian geese meander by. The rooms also have spacious kitchens, with all the modern appliances and a good supply of organic, locally roasted coffee. Yum! The bathrooms, while keeping with the period, are also outfitted with all the usual amenities, including sweet smelling glycerin soap.

The motel sits in a well maintained garden setting and has a pair of Ospreys that nest above the office each year. It has free WiFi and I can feed my internet addiction, or just read a book on the oversized balcony while listening to the geese and the osprey. If we get lonely Kevin and Constance are there in the evenings and are usually willing to share a cup of coffee and some lively conversation. It is very pet friendly and our dogs love the Rogue too.

It's a step back in time - vintage furniture, original '50s tile and old school charm. The kids loved the tree swing, tree house and the cats & dogs who live there. Right on the Rogue River - bring binoculors for the birds and a fishing pole. Kevin and his family are genuinely welcoming hosts. Their laid-back sincerity and quirks are part of the charm (e.g. no soap in the bathroom but lots of little tea candles and matches - and I'm sure they would have gotten me soap if I'd asked....) We stayed in unit 7 on the way down to L.A. and we liked it so much we stayed in unit 9 for 2 days on our return trip. It's great to have a separate bedroom for the kids, a kitchenette and a place for the kids to run around. If you expect corporate sterile, this is not the place for you. But, if you like a place that's like grandma's cabin...with organic coffee...you'll love it here.

This was our second trip to the Motel Del Rogue and I was thrilled that it hadn't changed. It was like coming back to stay with an old friend. We even had the same room and it was as charming and nice as I remember. As many people have said Kevin and Constance are a delight and really have a gem of a place. They make you feel like it's your home away from home. We visit here with my Husband's Step-Mom and Uncle every couple of years. His Dad & Step-Mom lived in the area for many years so it is like returning home. The rooms are clean and comfortable but as others have said don't make reservations expecting a cookie cutter room like a Holiday Inn. This is pure charm and ecletic fun at it's best. What Holiday Inn would have you fill out your registration form and hand you your room key without first taking an imprint of your credit card? i've never heard a hotel clerk at the Marriott say, "don't need that Credit Card now we'll take care of it when you leave". You'll think you've stepped back to the Fifties. The best part is sleeping with your curtains open and the balcony door wide open and waking up to see the Rogue River from the comfort of you bed. Who could ask for anything more! I could go on and on and on but you get the picture. DON'T pass this place up by the look on the outside. This place has been around for a long time and Kevin and Constance are constantly improving the appearance. It's what's on the inside that counts. So give it a try, get out of the cookie cutter hotel stops and drop anchor at the Motel Del Rogue. Once you stay there you'll never stay anywhere else!

OH yeah, they have WiFI! I sat on the balcony with my laptop and worked while watching the river and the Osprey fish!

Our family of five (children ages 7,8,10) went down to Grants Pass to do the caves and Great Cats World, and saw this place was rated #1. It's not in the center of town, but that's an advantage. This is definitely run by a family, and it shows in their attention to detail, and the desire to have you return. Kevin, the innkeeper, and his wife Constance are a delight and will welcome you as if you were family.

The beds were very comfortable, and we got to watch the osprey catch fish and take it up to the momma & baby in the nest. It's nice to see the older decor functioning as if it were in its prime. It makes you reminisce of the "good ol' days."

You won't get a cookie-cutter decor that feels cold and sterile. Each room here has its own flavor, and they owners are willing to try to meet your every request. The place isn't posh, or luxurious, but then again, remember you're in Grant's Pass, OR. Relax. This place is nice for families or a romatic get-away.

This establishment also won the "Small Business Award" in April of 2009 by the Chamber of Commerce, so they're also active in the community. This will be our first choice whenever we find ourselve's down this way again!
