“Excellent accommodations!”

The staff was very helpful and offered excellent service to the guests. Rooms were large and clean. The décor of the rooms was also very nice and the beds were very comfortable. They also offered free wine and cheese until 7pm at the desk.

We recently stayed at the Lodge during a nine day road trip around Oregon. EXCELLENT, excellent. The staff (front desk, cleaning crew and breakfast staff) were so very accomodating and friendly. Once we saw our room, the pool, hot tub and general atmosphere we decided that would be our relaxing day. We lounged at the pool, walked around the facility and enjoyed our quiet day awaiting the jetboat excursion. They even accomodated my taking pictures. An absolute must stay for a great price. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Working in the security industry I appreciated their security attempts. Again, a great staff, clean and comportable rooms. Being from NY if I ever get out that way, the lodge will be on my itinery and I will alway recommend to anyone going that way. Upstate New York

We stopped in Grants Pass at this pleasant hotel/motel....it sits on a river which adds to the ambience. The room we had was rather generic, but very roomy, clean and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and chatty with us during the wine and cheese reception.. We did not go back, but there we milk and cookies available in the evening. Breakfast was generic, but plenty.
I do suggest that you request a room away from the street, as it could be noisy from the traffic.
The room worked fine for our one night there as we passed through town.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the street

The location is good, next to the river. We got a room with no river view and it was quite dark and stuffy. The bed was bouncy and the air conditioner too noisy - we had to use earplugs to sleep. The advertised "wine and cheese" is more wine only, since the cheese looks sort of a velveeta-based spread with cheap crackers. Breakfast was average and started at 7:30, which we thought was late. The employees were all very nice. Looking at the website we were expecting more. We will not go back and can't recommend it.

We would like to thank you for staying with us and posting a review of your stay. We deeply regret that your stay was disappointing for you. Thank you for bringing the room issues to our attention, we will be looking into them and making sure they are fixed or replaced. The cheese spread, while not gourmet, is actually a blend of sharp cheddar cheese, cream cheese and port wine and generally well liked. Again, we regret that you were disappointed and would love a chance to make it up to you. Sincerely, the staff at The Lodge at Riverside

Stayed in room 214.. Trees completely blocking river view. King bed fills up the entire room. The bathroom light is very poor over the mirror. The tub and shower are tiny. My wife noticed no full length mirror. The old air conditioning system was cycling on and off all night.
Sorry, I guess we are used to more for our $

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay with us. We are disappointed that the Junior King room was not to your liking. Please know that we only have two of these rooms, every other room is actually over-sized. These rooms are small and that is exactly how we like to describe them and some folks love these rooms and request them each time they stay, others prefer more space. Our goal is complete guest satisfaction, if you let us know you are disappointed in anyway, we will do our best to fit you with the accommodations you are looking for. We hope you will try us again. Sincerely, The staff of The Lodge at Riverside

We recently stayed at the Lodge at Riverside in Grants Pass. The room was very clean and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average to good. The pool and hot tub need some work on them. The location was great for our Rogue River excursion and not too far from ziplines at Out-n-About Treesort. Staff gave great advice for great restaurants and instructions around town. Thanks!
