this is probably as good as it gets. a fireplace, very convenient location, beautiful scenery, a staff that is as helpful as you will ever find, and very comfortable beautiful rooms!

the free breakfast could use a little help, but there are so many good places in walking distance that you might not want to waste time with the free one.

we spent five nights here and loved every minute of it.

The Lodge has an interesting lobby with a great fireplace. The Taprock NW Grill is just across the street and you can get there by walking on the underpass. Very convenient. Interesting fireplace there, looked like a tree growing on the fireplace. They offer corporate rate so ask about it.
I had the room facing the parking side, not the river side. It's a large room with a oversized arm chair, TV, fridge under the TV, King bed, and the usual sink, shower over tub and they provide bath robes. Their shampoo, conditioners, and soap are Aveda. Nice touch. One bath robe needed the threads trimmed. It looked like the cat played with it. The room is big so it sort of looks empty. The wireless in the rooms were not too strong. Might need to go to the lobby if you want to use internet.
For breakfast we went down to Ma Mosa at 118 NEW E Street. Yummy food. She makes home made English muffin and her own corned beef. Lots of gluten free choices. Another dinner place is the Roux 26 at 234 SW 5th Street. A bit pricey but it's good. Many types of appetizers: calamari, artichoke hearts, etc. They have good size pizzas, pastas, fish, steak, wine, beer, etc.

We arrived to a wonderfully warm welcome from the rain, to be greeted by wine and cheese. Our room was spotlessly clean, and provided everything we needed, from free wi-fi to HBO. The breakfast was not only complimentary, it was delicious. I would highly recommend the Lodge at Riverside if you are stopping in Grant's Pass.

We stayed over Christmas for 3 nights in an Executive with King bed, riverfront room. The whole hotel was very clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The bathroom was very large and I really liked that the vanity is outside of the toilet/shower room. Makes it very easy when there are 2 people for one to shower while the other is using the sink.

In the mornings there is coffee, tea, and other hot drinks available in the lobby. In the afternoon it's wine and beer. Evenings hot chocolate and cookies. All can be enjoyed in front of the great fireplace.

Across the parking lot is the breakfast room. This is not the typical Continental Breakfast. Nice mix of items to choose from including Biscuits and Gravy, Fresh cooked waffles, scones, bagels, yogurt, fruit, and several hot and cold beverages.

Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Found myself in Grants Pass last minute for work the week before Christmas. The hospitality of the staff made it less stressful having to be away from home. Starting with Jesse's friendly attitude to get me checked in with a smile and the yummy smelling grand fire in the lobby that greeted me every day. Being from California, I really appreciated that. My mornings were amazing with warm raspberry white chocolate scones, hot coffee and great morning conversation with the staff. Early evenings after a long day, unwinding with co-workers, a complimentary glass of tasty Oregon wine and that grand fire set the moods of a relaxing dinner. The end of my days with a warm cookie and glass of milk. I'm sorry I didn't get everyone's name, but all the staff deserves 5 stars because everyone was as friendly & helpful as the other.
