Newish local bakery that specializes in bread and rolls. Some limited sweet baked goods. WiFi and comfortable place to enjoy your morning paper

Pine Street Bakery is a new business in Hood River. It is in the heights and a nice break from the craziness of the downtown area during tourist season. Also, there are no parking meters up on the heights. If you are looking for a wonderful sweet roll, baguette for dinner, or a savory treat or sandwich midday then this is the place to go. The service is good, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and the neighborhood is conducive to taking a walk before or after your visit. Take home a loaf of the cinnamon raisin bread......it won't disappoint. The coffee is delicious and goes well with anything you choose from the endless selection of treats. A wonderful spot to sit alone and read, visit with a friend, or have a romantic breakfast treat together. Get there early. They are a traditional bakery and close mid afternoon.....by 3 pm. Give them a ring for more info: 541-386-1719

I found Pine Street Bakery by doing a search online & at TripAdvisor. The place is close to the hospital in Hood River, at most 1/2 south of downtown. The coffee was great, but when we asked about a sandwich for lunch with turkey, the staff weren't sure if any turkey was available; we had ham. Ideally, the sandwich should have been toasted to soften the excellent bread and melt the cheese..... A word of warning though, they do close at 3pm.

We've been to Pine Street about 5 times and while their baked goods and coffee are delicious, I've never been impressed with their staff. Just not very friendly and they always seem to be a little confused/unorganized. I REALLY want to like this place, but unless the customer service improves, I probably will skip it.

We really appreciate your feedback, and that you keep giving us a chance. We REALLY want to serve you well, with delicious goods, and exceptional service! Please ask for Megan or Kate the next time you are in, and pass on your feedback directly, especially if there is an issue we can directly resolve. We are still in the growing pains phase of our new bakery, as we are almost 4 months old now. Thanks again for the feedback!
