“AUTHENTIC”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

What a great little spot for real authentic Mexican food. Friendly staff made for an enjoyable visit. Atmosphere is clean and unpretentious, however the tried and true family recipes made a great meal. We found this spot while driving the Fruit Loop out of Hood River. A little out of the way but we'll definitely stop here anytime we are in the area.

“From Scratch Traditional Fare”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

This probably isn't the place you stop for the atmosphere or location. But this certainly is the spot to come enjoy very traditional Mexican food. The tortillas, gorditas, chips, salsas, and practically everything else is made right here in the kitchen. This is the sort of place where you need to come back to several times to try it all. I had the spicy pork torta which was excellent, but wish I had a bigger appetite to try the fresh gorditas I saw on another table...next time.

The setting is very basic and nothing fancy. Some prices seem high, while other offerings are super cheap ($2 taco). Seems like if you order more traditional it's cheaper, but if you order like a gringo and get a burrito platter then it's more expensive.
