“Great little place for a nice casual meal”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We were in Hood River with another couple and we wanted a nice casual place to go to with good food and outdoor seating. We came across Sixth Street Bistro and it fit the bill. We sat outside on their deck, had some wine and enjoyed excellent food and friendly service. We were lucky with good weather which made sitting outside particularly enjoyable. The fish was delicious and the salads were fresh and good too. We thought they did a fine job providing a relaxed casual dinner experience. We would highly recommend it.

“Great salad on a deck with a view”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 via mobile

We ate the most delicious pear, walnut, feta salad at this fabulous cafe for lunch. They have great views of Mt Hood no matter where you sit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our large group. I highly recommend it'

“Don't order the Caesar Salad”
Reviewed 27 May 2014 via mobile

Went in for light dinner with a group of 4 for dinner on Mother's Day. Service was great, fast and knowledgeable. All I was craving was a good old fashioned Caesar Salad. Easy, right? What appeared at the table was probably one of the worst versions I have ever come across. Knife cut Romaine with a ceasar-like vinaigrette so lightly applied it was tasteless. And no cheese application at all. Everyone else ordered burgers and were pleased with their choices. So there you go... Don't order the Caesar Salad!

“Fine meal, good service”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

Having just arrived in Hood River hungry and tired after a long drive I did an internet search and chose the 6th Street Bistro because it was easy to find and close to our accommodation. We weren't disappointed. We sat outside on a pleasant evening in a charming courtyard that was busy enough to be atmospheric but not crowded. Our water was attentive but not pushy and the choice of specials was manageable. The loin chop with garlic mash was excellent as was the "darned good burger". All in all a mid priced good meal in a casual and relaxed atmosphere - just what we wanted after a long day. Recommended.
