A stop here is a great start to a tour of the Columbia River Gorge. Aside from the River and Lewis & Clark, I had no idea about the history of this area of Oregon. The history and displays are unusually thorough and complete, and were a great background to have while visiting and appreciating the Columbia River Gorge.
The museum's website states that it is staffed by volunteers, and that 'open hours' may depend during inclement weather on the staff's ability to be there. Best to check if that's the case while you're there.
