I enjoyed a three day visit to the Bronze Antler. From the minute of arrival until waving goodbye from the beautiful craftsman porch my visit was wonderful. Heather and Bill were sharp and there for every need. The breakfasts were innovative and creative plus delicious. All the rooms were spotless and there was no detail left undone. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for a wonderful reunion for all six of us.

Sharon

Room Tip: All the rooms were exceptional. If you want a larger room I suggest the suite on the main floor

The updated 1920's home is beyond perfection. Everything is tastefully updated and working like a charm. There is no detail too small for Bill and Heather - they have thought of a guests' every possible need. Fabulous breakfasts are served exacted when and how you've requested.

The Bronze Antler is perfectly situated within walking distance to all the town’s attractions yet is quiet and peaceful, with a superb mountain vista. This restored 1920s Craftsman house is beautifully decorated, cozy and comfortable. Meticulously maintained, it invites you to relax and feel pampered. We couldn’t have asked for a more luxurious bed or a better appointed bathroom, where no detail was overlooked, from the Tarocco toiletries to the deluxe bathrobes and slippers. The public rooms were equally inviting. Bill and Heather are lively and welcoming hosts, ready to offer local information and suggestions (the Lostine Tavern was one of the discoveries we made thanks to a tip from Heather). Breakfasts are both tasty and wholesome, with an emphasis on fresh and organic ingredients. We spent three nights in this lovely spot and wish we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: The Chief Joseph Room is tastefully furnished with antiques, and its windows face the snow-capped Chief Joseph Mountain. The bathroom is luxuriously appointed with high-end fixtures and amenities.

Bill and Heather are charming hosts taking care of every need. Around the breakfast table with french toast, frittata, strawberries and pineapple the conversation with fellow guests is a delight especially with freshly brewed coffee. The house is charming-combining an old fashioned atmosphere with every modern conveniece.
They are extremely knowledgeable about the area - the best trails for hiking or biking.
Highly recommended!

Having restored an early 1900's house myself, I can really appreciate the work that went into making this great old house look original. It is a beautiful restoration that manages to keep the period look, but everything is super clean and cozy. Bill and Heather are great hosts, and the food was wonderful. I have been to Joseph and the Wallowas before, but I would never have known I could take a foundry tour and watch a pour (hot, but fantastic!), or ride the rails in a pedal powered rail car without their intimate knowledge of things to see and do in the area.

They also have loaner maps and hiking guides and trail suggestions.

We stayed 4 nights - very relaxing!
