From the greeting at the door when we arrived, to fresh baked cookies each day, to the well-stocked wine cellar, our stay at the Bronze Antler was wonderful.
Our hosts Heather and Bill have done a wonderful job with the older home right on main street in 'downtown' Joseph -- the details are impeccable. The down comforter and pillows, and all the linens were very nice. The bathrooms are spacious, wel-planned and well-stocked. The view from our room of the Wallowa mountains was spectacular. The living areas were very comfortable -- we had several comfortable evenings visiting with Bill and Heather, along with other guests.
Breakfasts each morning were very nice -- they spend a lot of time making great menus, shopping for fresh ingredients, and cooking to perfection.
Both Heather and Bill are very knowledgeable about the area, the hikes, the history, the town, etc. They have a well stocked library with books on things to see and do, maps, history -- just about everything imaginable.
Overall, Heather and Bill were eager to please each of us. They really made our long weekend in Joseph memorable -- we can't wait to go back!
