We have been coming to Rocky Point for approximately 10 years. Always a nice time & beautiful scenery. It was our 33rd anniversary and could only get away for a few days so we thought, going to Rocky Point is close & very lovely. Wrong place to go!
The past two years when we've been up there, it has been a pretty terrible experiance but we thought we'd try again, maybe she wouldn't be as much of a tyrant as she had been in the past. The new managers (Sue inparticular), are not welcoming at all. Constantly monitoring your every move to the point of becoming uncomfortable. It is terribly sad as the scenery hasn't changed, just the managers. The owners of the property need to get this figured out as we are not the only ones with a bad taste in our mouths.
We ate at the restaurant which was pleasant enough, thanks to Sue not being in the area, which sometimes she is..the food is not the greatest but the cook, you can tell, he is trying.
Prices for things are too high for what you get. They charge $2.00 per dog per day, renting a canoe is very expensive and the site costs are too high for what little is provided.
We are saddend that it has come to this as we have always enjoyed our times up there.
