The motel lobby smelled like animal urine. When we got to our very tiny room we discovered that 2 bedside lamps did not work at all, the furnance cover was off (assume for repairs so thank goodness we didn't visit in the winter), and we could not get the TV to change channels. When we asked about the TV we were told to just turn it on and off by the power button on the TV. So at that point we decided the lamps were not going to be fixed. Then, later on in the evening our small dog drug out a sock from under the bed - clearly indicating the room had not been cleaned. They had 2 air conditioners in the window by the kitchen - not sure why but the newer one was covered up by a window covering and had we not moved it to look out the filthy window to the dog yard out back we would not have seen it. I am not sure where the fab reviews came fom but this was not a pleasant experience for us. We are not used to $200 a night rooms so that wasn't the problem. These folks need to either get a cleaning crew or give up on the hotel business. Also, don't take your dog for a walk outside the small lawn area as there are puncture vine thorns every where. At $53.00 a night clearly a bad choice.
