I've stayed here several times on business and had a great stay every time. The recently completed remodel has really beautified the rooms, common areas, breakfast area, etc. The staff is always friendly and helpful from the front desk to the kitchen to the management.

Perfect example: on this last stay there were some really noisy people next door. Lots of yelling and door slamming. It went on and on, so I called the front desk. Rather than the excuses and uncomfortable "I'm not sure there's anything we can do" you get at most places, the manager basically said, "Hang on. I got this!" marched right upstairs, and laid down the law.

Much appreciated. I will stay here again any time I'm in the Portland area.

Room Tip: Don't miss Stanford's (an easy walk and GREAT fish tacos!) or Five Spice (wine and seafood...

This is a great Hotel in the centre of everything that you can use as a home base to travel to any and all key points of interest in the Portland area. ''Heather'' I believe is an Assistant Manager at this location and when we were at a loss on how to get to downtown Portland in a timely manner; she stepped up and solved our concerns with a smile! Plus, this Hotel is spotless, has lots of free parking, a great complimentary breakfast and free Wifi! We were more than happy with the rate we paid and would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel to our relatives or friends!

Room Tip: Just about anywhere in this Hotel is good, but I would ask for a room away from the Elevators and Ic...

Would have given this a 5, great value, totally new furnishings, carpets... They have really redone this place BUT the bed was harder than a rock!! Sadly, while everything else was sparkling new our towels where tired and not in keeping with the lovely new undates.
Breakfast nice but get there early as food was mostly gone by 9:30 when we arrived, even though its open until 10. Some limited cold was a that was left.
I would like to say that we will be back but it's 4:30 in the morning and this bed is tooooo hard :(
Lobby remodel is nearly done and I never saw or heard any construction work...

We stayed five nights while visting family in the area. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and enjoyed it. This stay was not quite as comfortable. Had we known that the hotel was under construction we would have stayed at another hotel. They did give us an upgrade to a newly remodeled room; however, we had issues with the bedding. Apparently none of the matress covers fit the king size beds even though the manager told us that they should. Other than this the hotel was clean and comfortable. Service was good.

This Fairfield has been great for two 6-day stays this year. It is comfortable, good service, quiet and in a very convenient location - close to 217, restaurants and shopping. The breakfast room is good sized and pleasant.

This was the last stop after a long road trip and we are glad we stayed here.

They made our room completely feather free and its the only inn that have done so during our road trips even though we requested it from all the others.

Breakfast is continental and the selection was good.

Right across the street to Applebees and Olive Garden.

Nice and Clean rooms and the AC is a little loud but we turned it off before we went to sleep so it was good. We stayed in room #316 right by the elevator and it was quiet.

We will come back again as we go to Oregon at least 5 - 6 times a year.

Room Tip: Make your request know when you book online from their site directly and it will be done. We asked f...

I would have given this hotel a 4 or 5 except for the extremely noisy heater (HVAC system) below the window. It's one of the basic ones with a car-style dial, and that must remain on all the time. When the heater would kick in it was very noisy; it kept me awake even though I was wearing ear plugs. Also the bed was far too hard for our comfort.

Otherwise, however, the hotel was great! Very nice front desk and breakfast staff, nice amenities, decent breakfast, otherwise quiet room (could not hear I-5 even though we were on that side), good location, etc. It was a good value for the money.
