We stayed in Lake Oswego at the recommendation of a Portland native since we were expecting to stay upwards of two weeks in the area. We found the LakeShore Inn on this site and it looked right for us. We called and told the manager about our need to stay for an extended period and that a baby would be joining us at some point. The manager negotiated the rate with us and told us they could move us into a larger room when the baby arrived and as the room was available.

We were first in a one room suite with kitchenette facing the street for about 4 nights, the room had recently been remodeled including new bathrooms, carpet, furniture etc and were very neat and clean. The kitchenette had all the necessary tools and several extras provided. The bathroom was a little tight and for a larger person it could cause an issue trying to take a seat. The view of the lake was nice. The one downside was during rain the roadnoise from tires is noticeable, also the occasional freight trains rolling through were a little unexpected but we live in an area that is not far away from trains and didn't really bother us to much.

For the remaining 6 nights we were in a two room suite that was set back from the road and behind a street-facing office building. It was much quieter and you didn't have the traffic of people walking by the door so much or road noise either. In fact the view from our room was amazing and very calming. The management team provided us all the needed bedding and porta-crib for the baby. They even set some flowers and balloons in the room when he came home with us, which was a nicetouch. The staff were all attentive and assisted us with restaurant recommendations and other little items we needed for the room. While we were in this room there was remodeling going on next door and above us during the day time but this was only temporary and most of the time we were not in the room when it was occurring. The rooms are now modern without being overly done.

Also, if you have a chance do not miss St Honore pastry shop. The restaurants and shopping are less than a block away. With a grocery store, Half Moon chocolates store, and other conveniences this was a great location for us to relax, be a new family together, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area instead of being in a corporate hotel in a non-descript part of town and needing to drive everywhere.

Was in the area for a personal event. The rooms were nice and comfy with an area feel.
Loved to be able to walk to the restaurants nearby which were excellent especially the french pastry shop. Staff was very friendly and warm.

We stayed here for only one night, sadly, as it is a gem. It's an older motel, but they have made up for that by a very friendly, helpful staff, clean comfy rooms, and beautiful location.Only 7 miles from Portland, but it's in another world.Storybook charming town, with lots of restaurants and shopping.Lobby has coffee and snacks for you and they even have an elevator if stairs are a problem. Pool right on the lake,..fantastic location. You have a kitchenette..fully equipped with dishes, etc. and a patio overlooking the lake,..wish we would have stayed longer.Beds were great..plush. Quiet location...will definately return. Free parking as well.Don't overllok this one if going to Portland,..short drive in to town along river.GREAT!

Good place, a little tricky to pull into as driveway as narrow as a razor, but other than that very nice for the price. Would go again most definitely!

We've lived in the area for over 20 years, and needed a relaxing weekend away - but not too far. I let the hotel staff know it was an anniversary, but did not expect the surprises in store. A bottle of wine, candy, rose petals strewn throughout the room and a lovely card from the manager. We were able to walk to dinner, to a wine tasting, heard music from the adjacent park and watched a beautiful sunset. Staff were very sweet and accommodating; room clean and very comfortable.

The Lakeshore Inn at Lake Oswego is an Oasis in the midst of Portland Oregon rush hour jams of the I-5 & 205 routes. Nestled in a little valley just minutes from I-5, we stumbled on this hotel on the shore of Lake Oswego when we bailed out of gridlock at an exit that said "Lake Oswego"

What you have here is an older yet charming motel right off the Lake Oswego main drag. It is a clean, meticulously maintained, comfortable "vanity-like" hotel that faces a private lake and is quiet--a short walk from great restaurants, and a refuge from traffic mayhem. Each room seemed to have its own charm...some including ceiling fans over the beds and most with complete kitchens for longer stays. We chose a King Studio right off the lakeside and Motel Pool....and it felt just like like home. The staff of the hotel were personable, concerned, courteous, and calming to this brain-rattled traveler. The price was within norms of area motels but the richness of the personal experience was of greater value and worth a return visit. We plan to stay there the next time we visit Portland as our visit HQ just to escape the downtown Portland noise, rat-race, and congestion. Rarely do we stay some place where we become so emotionally attached. This one is a keeper.
