We visited in January 2013, for the Jambalaya Cookoff. First time we'd been to any of their cookoff events (they also have a fish taco one and clam chowder and maybe some others throughout the year). We enjoyed the jamalaya event. It was very crowded, though - apparently more and more folks are hearing about these events and coming to them. There was no admission charge for this, just bought "tokens" for 50 cents each, and one token was good for a small 'taste' of a vendor's jambalaya. You could get a small bowl for $3 if you wanted more than just a small taste. There were also vendors there with beer, wine, water, cupcakes and other goodies (those you had to pay for directly, couldn't use the tokens). We had a very nice time at this even and now hope to be able to come back for the Clam Chowder cookoff in the fall (I was told that event is now held in a larger venue).
