“Not Worth It”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

I had booked a reservation in advance over the phone & advised that we do have a pet, requesting a corner room. Everything was set.
After 10 hours of driving, we finally arrived for check in close to midnight. 7:45am the phone rang & it was the Manager going on & on how we have a pet, we’re not in a pet friendly room & he wanted us out of there asap so he could relocate us. I didn’t even get a chance to speak… At that point I was fed up with what had just took place, packed everything up & went to go check out. He (still the Manager) tried to void my discount because we wanted to check out 2 days early. I couldn’t believe the balls on this guy. Instead of trying to make things right due to the inconvenience, he continued to argue with me, he did not want to budge. This guy should not be in the hospitality industry period. Extremely unprofessional & rude.
Overall the customer service & experience was a nightmare! I would not recommend. Bottom line *DO NOT STAY HERE*

Room Tip: It sounded like the bathroom above us kept their fan running all night.

We arrived on a Sun. nite and got the advertised rate on their reader board. We did call in at the last minute before we arrive. The desk person was very helpful and easy to work with. We stayed 3 nites. We were going to stay a 4th nite and had paid that morning but we got a emergency call and they refunded our money with no charge. They were going to give us the 4th nite at the same price we had originally paid. The management was great. The breakfast was great. The only thing I would complain about would be the housekeeping. They need a little more training on how to clean and take care of a room.

Room Tip: we had a room by the elevator. "ask where your room is located"

A last minute trip to Lincoln City, we took a chance at a walk in reservation. We know from past experience that Lincoln City fills up fast on Friday's.

The walk in rate for Palace Inn was $99 plus tax. We had a queen room, microwave, and fridge on the 4th floor. It was good for the amount of time we were in the room, a little wind down time after shopping at the outlets and before we headed out to dinner. Wifi was also included, a must these days.

We did not eat their free breakfast, but I did get a cup of coffee. I saw there was waffles, pastries, yogurt, and some fruit.

I would return again.

Ok, I take the blame for arriving at the coast with no reservation. But charging triple the value when you are the only hotel with ANY rooms is just dishonest. We had to sleep somewhere. But we certainly would have slept better if the AC had blown something other than tepid air as we tried to sleep on the hard yet lumpy mattress. The crappy sheets with burn holes and no fabric softener where the crowning touch. Pillows had NO loft at all. Stains on carpet. Generally shabby. Avoid.

As usual with Asians, the price of the room changed several times. Much more than advertised price. We reserved the room for $129 a night, for 2 nights. When we got the bill, the first night cost $169, the 2nd night was $243. These are prices that high end hotels charge. This is not high end. The staff was incredibly rude and very unprofessional. Treated my family like garbage. These people are very dishonest and remind me of slum lords. My next step with this place will be a lawsuit for false advertisement. I do not recommend putting a rabid dog in this hotel. I give them an F-. Just horrible people all around.

Booked room on line for a Sunday to Wed stay. Price was $10 less for walk in guests the 1st day and by the time we left price was $20 less. Seems if you book ahead they would give the best price up front. The staff were pleasant and helpfull and the room was nice, but ask for a top floor (noise from above). Continental breakfast is ok but if you want good coffee you will have to get it someplace else. No HBO, even though they still advertise it.

Room Tip: Noise from above loud, ask for topfloor

Good, clean room. Close to everything. Except for the Highway 101 traffic a very quiet place. My only complaint of this place was the HARD bed. I have arthritis and disk degeneration in my lower back so the firm bed was bad for me but other than that we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Wish there was a pool but it does have a nice hot tub and sauna.
