We enjoyed two nights here in a King suite. It's pretty basic, but had all the amenities we wanted - clean, affordable with an excellent view and each beach access; small refrigerator. Staying on the 3rd floor, their lack of an elevator was a downside, but not a big deal. We didn't realize that they have a small, indoor pool & hot tub, since this wasn't obvious on their website, where you would only discover the pool if you look on their photo gallery page. The mattress was fairly hard, but we have come to expect this in a less-expensive hotel, since softer mattresses have to replaced more often.

Room Tip: If you don't mind climbing stairs, try to get a 3rd-floor room for a great view!

We stayed here on a quick getaway for our wedding anniversary. Check-in was really quick, and the gal was very friendly. We stayed on the third floor (no elevators for people who need them) in the Jacuzzi suite. The room was nicely appointed, not elegant or super fancy, but a step above most places around Lincoln City. The bed was a four post bed that had netting around it (which needs to be replaced) with nice linens and a cozy comforter. Great, warm fireplace heated the room quickly. The Jacuzzi was EXCELLENT and we could look out to the beach/ocean while we enjoyed our relaxing Jacuzzi. There was a small fridge, coffee maker, two coffee cups, two wine glasses and a toaster. The "kitchen area" could have used a few more items that we found ourselves needing. Mainly a couple pieces of flatware. Also, the generic soaps and toiletries should be upgraded for this room. The no name ones they had, just don't cut it. All in all, great stay and we will be back!

Room Tip: Room #63 is great.

If you love the sound of the surf and walking on the sand but don't care about upscale amenities, this is a great place for you. The room has older furniture and carpet, but I find that a small tradeoff for a on the beach (not from cliff) view. You can walk down a short flight of stairs and you are on sand.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the receptionist polite. The room heater worked well and the gas fireplace lent a cozy feel. I traveled alone and felt very safe. The center stairwell is worn and bringing up a heavy large suitcase is a challenge; the south stairwell is better. (And the receptionist told me on check-in.)

Enjoy a simple room with a spectacular view and beach access.

We have stayed here in the past and have always had good experiences. For the location you cannot beat the price. It is on the beach with just 5 or 6 steps and you are on the sand. There are tidepools within view and two different large rock areas to explore. The staff working there have always been friendly. Check in is at 3 and the latest you can check in is at 10 p.m. They have free coffee and tea in the lobby that you can help yourself to. We stayed in a King Fireplace Balcony room. This room (room 41) has a king size bed, a gas fireplace, balcony with two chairs, a small table with two chairs, a microwave, small fridge, flat screen TV and a coffee maker. Their is no tub, which I dont mind at all, the shower is a standup enclosure with shelves for your shampo and soap. The toilet is in the room with the shower and the sink vanity area is outside that door, offering privacy. There is a 6 drawer dresser in the room and a closet with 8 hangers. We love staying here and will return in the future. The staff are friendly and the rooms have always been spotless.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony for the best experience.

My sister and I stayed at the Sandcastle a couple weeks ago. We had a room with an extra bedroom on the ground floor with a wonderful view. Beds were so-so. A fireplace or heater would have been great to have to dry my pants after I got a bit wet hunting agates. Everything worked, they need to check the dishes to make sure they're clean. Had a coffee cup with "something" on the outside of it which I discovered AFTER I had taken a drink .. ewww .. water pressure in the shower was "enough" but a handheld shower would be much better. Parking is minimal and you may end up parking down the street. Nice staff. Oh yeah, TV is basic basic! A real disappointment!!
