My husband and I went to Portland to visit our children and decided to drive over to the coast for the trip home. At 10pm, we couldn't find anywhere that was still open (the offices were all closed). We came across this hotel which was open and found a gem. The room was very neat and clean. We had a refrigerator, coffee maker, LCD TV and it was hanging over the fireplace (yes, we had a fireplace too!). Opening the curtains, we discovered a nice balcony with a gorgeous view of the ocean! Even with the door closed we could hear the ocean but we opted to leave it open a little all night long. There is nothing like letting the roar of the ocean put you to sleep! For all that we got, the price was very reasonable and we will definitely be visiting again.

Our room came with king size bed, gas fireplace, digital flat screen tv, microwave, small refridgerator and coffee pot. The slider opened on to a small private balcony that overlooked the beach. We slept with the slider open and listened to the sound of the surf. We loved it! Clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. If you are looking for good value this is it. It is not a "spa" or decorated by interior designer but we loved it as we were not looking for those things.

Room Tip: Ask for one with an ocean view.

We asked for a kitchen unit with separate sleeping space for 3 parties. Our large unit was great. We were warned it didn't have a view, so we were pleasantly surprised to see out to the ocean from 2 windows while we sat at our kitchen counter for breakfast. The place has a beach cottage feel, which we really love. Quick beach access down stairs and then down a small street behind the motel was perfect. Breakfast being included was very convenient to getting out for morning beach walks - we supplemented with our shopping for kitchen supplies. Staff was friendly and helpful. In addition to a very fair price, we saved money with a grocery trip for some dinners and lunches. We plan to return for other 3 to 7 day stays.

Room Tip: Great deal if you can get a kitchen unit

I stay in a lot of motels and the staff here are the most friendly and professional that I have ever seen. The room was very clean and the view from the balcony was awesome. The in room gas fireplace added to the romance of our 18th wedding anniversary. I would without hesitation recommend this room to anyone who wants a terrific view and romantic room. I became fast friends with the day and night manager as they were interested in seeing that everything went as planned. A nice touch was a white board with our names and happy anniversary on it! ..

Room Tip: The very best views are on the third floor; however every room has a good view.
