We had read reviews on Tripadvisor but didn't have reservations. We had great difficulty locating the hotel, there are no signs on the main roads directing you, and it was just by chance on our third drive-by that we happened to look up and see the Starfish Manor sign. We were shown a number of rooms and fell in love with Room #9 on the third floor. It was perfect! A king bed, couch, fireplace (which we didn't use since it was so warm), balcony, kitchenette, beautiful bathroom and, best of all, the huge jacuzzi tub in front of the window with incredible ocean views. We decided to stay a second night but the only room available was a first floor room. We should have checked it out. The girl on reception told us it would be exactly the same as Room #9. This was not the case. This room was much smaller, had no couch, there were no Kleenex and the cleanliness of the room didn't compare to Room 9. Not having screens on the third floor wasn't an issue but there were LOTS of flying bugs so we needed to close our windows which meant it was too hot in the room (we did use the portable fan provided) and we didn't get to enjoy the sounds of the crashing waves. We feel they really need lockable screens on the ground floor rooms to keep out the flying insects and for security reasons also. If you left your doors open anyone could walk in. If you get anything but a ground floor room you will have a fabulous stay.

My husband and I wanted to spend a couple of nights at the beach after our wedding. Having never stayed in Lincoln City, we researched the area hotels and settled on the Oceanfront Manor. We had originally booked a room on the 6th floor, but my husband wanted a couch so we changed the reservation to a room on the 5th floor with an outdoor hot tub. The staff was very helpful, both on the phone and in person. The room itself was incredible and very comfortable. The room and the hot tub were both extremely clean. The only complaint (if you could call it that) was how small the bathroom/shower was. The roof of the units right below us was being redone, but the workers were almost finished with the project and ended by 5pm. The staff told us about this issue and offered to move us if we found it annoying. We could have easily stayed several more days and definitely plan to come back.

We are very happy to hear this guest had a great stay. But they actually stayed at our Beachfront Manor Hotel - not the Starfish Manor. I know this because the Starfish only has 4 floors. Also we just redid the roof on the lower beachfront building of the Beachfront Manor. Either way we are very happy they enjoyed one of our oceanfront properties!

My husband and I looked forward to spending our honeymoon at the Starfish and we were not disappointed!! Our room was small but cozy. Everything was 5 star quality, the cherry cabinets, granite countertops and fireplace, robes, rose petals, chocolate, bath salts for the jacuzzi tub overlooking the ocean waves, the Aromatherapy soaps were just a few of the high quality touches that makes the Starfish a must stay for a romantic getaway. I LOVED sipping coffee in the morning and champagne at night with my husband in the roomy jacuzzi tub while watching the ocean waves.

The bed was unbelievable comfortable with soft high quality linens. We were pleasantly surprised to find champagne glasses and everything a couple would need in a small kitchenette (dishes, soap, towels, wine opener etc.) The room was immaculately clean! And it was so quiet at night!

The service was personable and highly professional. We will be back for our anniversaries as well as a winter stay. We loved it so much we rarely left our room! We DEFINITELY RECOMMEND the Starfish Manor for a high quality, professionally staffed, romantic getaway.

Oh, The Blackfish Cafe is walking distance and has absolutely fabulous high quality meals. The salmon was perfect and the ceasar salad to die for! No ocean view but the qualty of the food is well worth it!

Our first trip to Starfish Manor, and it was EXCELLENT! The place is romantic, private, and has a great ocean view. The staff were extra friendly, and made our stay WONDERFUL. I'll definitely recommend, and go back soon. Very up to date and modern, which you don't always find at the beach!

March 2008
My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Lincoln City at the Starfish Manor. It was the most beautiful, relaxing, and enjoyable vacation we've had. Many would think the Oregon Coast in March might not be too nice, but the weather was wonderful, and the one day it did rain, we spent the afternoon curled up on the oversized couch in our room watching the rain and ocean waves. Our room at the Starfish Manor was on the top floor right above the ocean with an amazing view! An oversized bath tub fit in the corner with a large window looking out over the ocean. My husband and I were greeted with rose petals on the bed, champagne & toasting glasses, chocolates and bath salts. There were so many personal touches, like the Bath and Body Works soaps and lotions and we liked that housekeeping was a need-only basis, so we didn't have a maid waking us up in the morning.
I recommend the Starfish Manor to anyone looking for a beautiful ocean view, cozy and romantic room, and a relaxing stay on the beach.

We booked the two-bedroom suite on the top floor for three nights as part of a trip to celebrate my husband's mom's 85th birthday. It was all we hoped for and more! The hotel is right on the beach, so the view from the balcony (and the windows in the living room and main bedroom) is absolutely gorgeous.
The living room area is warm and inviting with a huge comfy sectional facing the TV and the fireplace. Sliders lead to a private balcony complete with hot tub overlooking the beach. There's a small full kitchen (with dire warnings not to put any seafood in the refrigerator, so we bought a cooler for some of our leftovers and the smoked fish we bought), and a nice dining table for four. There is also a full-size washer & dryer; we stayed halfway through a 12-day trip so it was wonderful to be able to do laundry. Detergent and even dryer sheets provided!
MIL had the ocean-front room, with its own bathroom and a big jacuzzi tub just under the huge west-facing window. She loved it! For our bedroom, the bath was across a hallway but that was fine. Rose petals, crisp white robes, and chocolates were on both beds when we arrived. Even tho we're far from honey-mooners, we loved those little touches.
The front desk staff was helpful when we needed them; there are DVDs to rent in the lobby.
We really enjoyed Lincoln City -- a quirky town that's actually a fairly recent consolidation of five little towns. Each section has its own personality, and we were charmed. Found some GREAT restaurants, including Blackfish Cafe, Wildflower Grill, and, for breakfast, Pig 'n' Pancake.
Lincoln City was the highlight of our trip, and it was largely because Starfish Manor was such a luxurious, well-equipped, peaceful place.

My husband and I booked this hotel as part of our Oregon Coast Road trip. We loved it! We stayed in a brand new room with an oceanfront balcony. The sunset was breathtaking! And although the Oregon coast is chilly, our in-room fireplace kept us cozy. We liked the suite so much that instead of going out for dinner, we ordered a pizza and sat on the balcony all night.

This place is treat!
