“Great View”
Reviewed 1 June 2013

I stayed at this motel recently over Memorial Day weekend. This was also our 2nd visit to Coho. After the second visit, it really sunk in....I love this motel. I will be coming back again. 1. The view is amazing. 2. It's a reasonable price. 3. It's been recently remodeled with a modern and stylish vibe and 4. I feel like the staff really cares and wants you to enjoy your stay. It all adds up to a very relaxing vacation. I was very happy and will return.

I am more than pleased with our stay there. We booked an oceanfront room which was absolutely gorgeous, the service was great and friendly (even the lady from the front desk invited us hiking next time we're there!) and I think what really won me over was the look and feel of our room. It was truly a special experience and we plan on coming back every year for our anniversary!

Okay, the only two downfalls is the size of the bathroom area (it's smaller than ours in our 800 sqft apartment so that's saying something!) and that the DVD player didn't work which was disappointing but not too big of a deal. Otherwise, perfect for a couple's weekend retreat!

We stayed at the Coho for 3 nights to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary in a third floor queen suite with kitchenette. We had a weekday special rate of 3 nights for 2. The room furnishings are updated, the property is well maintained and clean. The private deck had a stunning ocean view. The lodge doesn't have private beach access but it's a very short walk to the public access with a choice of stairs or paved roadway to the sand. The continental breakfast was good with more options than most, such as hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. The staff and housekeepers were friendly and made an effort to ensure we had a good experience. Depending on availability of special rates in the future we will return.

The Coho is a great place to stay for a nice romantic weekend. My husband and I stayed in the Sunset Room which is in the adult only section. When we arrived and checked in we were greeted to the aroma of fresh baked cookies in the lobby. We purchased a romance package with our reservation and upon entering the room we were greeted with red and white rose petals scattered all over the room. There was a heart shape made out of rose petals and a long stem red rose with baby breathe on the bed. There was also a choice of champagne or sparking french apple cider that was chilling on ice and a 4 count box of chocolates. The room also had a balcony facing the ocean and a fireplace and whirlpool bathtub. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. The couples massage was a big plus. Staff very friendly.

Room Tip: Go for the 3rd floor. The adult side is very quiet. We did not hear any noise from the rooms arou...

Dear Jolene,

Thank you for writing a review of your recent stay with us! I'm glad you took advantage of my favorite room, the Sunset Suite. With the added romance package, if definitely becomes a romantic room with the jetted tub, fireplace and amazing view. Our masseuses do a great job in the relaxing spa room. It's great that you were able to take advantage of that added amenity. We hope you enjoyed your romantic getaway and look forward to welcoming you back to The Coho next time you are in Lincoln City. The fresh baked cookies will be waiting for your next arrival!

The Coho has a perfect location in Lincoln City with a beautiful view of the beach. Informative binder in the room with lots of good information about the hotel and the area. Room was comfortable and lots of hangers. I loved I could open the windows and hear the ocean! Front desk friendly and helpful. Firepit area overlooking the beach was a quiet place to contemplate life though there was a guest smoking a cigar in the chair next to mine so I left that area sooner than I'd have liked.

Housekeeping took the towels I'd left on the towel bar so I had to use new towels, thus defeating their green policy which is outlined on a placard in the room. When I asked front desk about this, young woman was unaware of towel policy. Housekeeping didn't change the sheets per my request.

At breakfast they offered mixed fresh fruit; it would be nice to offer zero-fat yogurt along with the regular. I wish they had a list of the TV stations in the room as it's annoying to have to search through the retinue of stations to find what you want.

Room Tip: Ask for beachfront room with a balcony.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with the world. I'm glad that you were able to enjoy our amazing views and ocean breeze from your room. I appreciate your feedback on ways to improve. I have reminded all of my employees of the green policies. I am also looking at putting in non smoking signs around the fire pits so that everyone can enjoy the views without being disrupted. We have also reminded the housekeeping staff to supply the TV Channel listing in the rooms. I apologize for any inconvenience that had caused you. Thank you again for bringing these items to my attention. We value our guest's opinions so that we can continue to improve our property and services we offer. We hope to welcome you back to The Coho should your travels bring you back to the Oregon Coast!

Recently stayed at the Coho Oceanfront Lodge in Lincoln City, Oregon. The property had been recently renovated and was everything the desk clerk said it was and more. Rooms were clean and spacious. A free breakfast (more than continental) every morning. Hot baked cookies in the lobby in the evening. The price was right and the service was awesome. Mariah at the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful.

Green Features: They did have recycling bins in the room which were emptied daily as well as the trash.

This was our first time staying here and we were impressed - from the surprise room upgrade we got when we arrived, to the complementary fresh coffee grounds for our french press in the mornings, we were very happy staying here. The location is perfect - right on the ocean, but also very central to everything lincoln city has to offer. The rooms are updated and stylish and very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor room w/ a balcony :)
