The entire staff was excited to see your stay was "Fantastic!". Our 2 room suites are very popular with our guests -- many of which return year after year reserving the same room. Your feedback is very much appreciated.
Standouts were the exceptional staff, the above and beyond breakfast (included), the little "extras" (like packets of fresh ground coffee provided at the desk t for our room's French press coffee maker--wonderful way to start the day!), the incredible location and view, and the prompt housekeeping (we spent two nights).
Stayed for one night as a quick get-away from the valley, this was my second stay at this location. I reserved an ocean front delux king room. During my previous stay, I was able to enjoy a room on the third floor with an EXCEPTIONAL ocean-front view, very peaceful and very quiet. This stay, I was assigned a bottom (first) floor room and while you could still see the ocean, it was not nearly as impressive of a view. Additionally, other guests and the general public could walk directly in front of your room and large window. As it was a "hotter" weekend at the coast, I chose to keep the windows open for a breeze (there is no A/C at the hotel). The fact that anyone could walk right up to the window at night and simply remove the screen to get in made me uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping with the windows closed and was uncomfortably hot. I recommend that future travelers request a second or third floor room for this reason.
Despite that one negative, there are many positives to the Coho. The remodel is terrific, with comfortable linens, a flat screen tv, not one, but two comfortable chairs, and a generally clean and modern decor. Compared to some hotels in Lincoln City, the Coho's decor is a GEM. While the bathroom is small, space is well-appointed. The hotel is quiet, and although there were many families staying there, I did not hear people above or next to me. The continental breakfast is above average, with several hot dishes and many cold selections. In the office, you are able to purchase local wines and rent DVD's. Staff was very nice and seemed engaged in their job.
All in all, I would recommend the Coho and stay again- just request an upper level room and prepare yourself for a great view and a peaceful stay.
We stumbled across the Coho Oceanfront Lodge and were very pleasantly surpised. The rooms/hotel was obviously recently updated and was very clean. The freshly ground coffee for the in-room french press was a nice touch. The room we had (and I believe they all do) faced the ocean. There was a grassy area just and outside with deck chairs and we sat for a while enjoying the view. No air condiitoning but the windows open and a nice breeze and the sound of the waves were better than air conditioning. The rooms on the bottom floor opened onto the grassy area overlooking the ocean/beach. Some of the rooms have kitchenettes and would be terrific for a family. Indoor pool and jacuzzi (not used by us, but plenty did) and a small fitness room (3 cardio machines - treadmill, bike and eliptical stepper) were a nice addition.
Thank you for taking time to mention all the amenities we have upgraded and/or added over the past 18 months. We hope to see you again soon!
This is it! Look no further for the best oceanfront room! We had the 2 queen with separate bedroom (#24) and it was an excellent room. Walking distance to access the beach and downtown shops and some restaurants (Pig N Pancake is worthy of a note here) The only "complaint" was that in order to access the internet we had to be in the front office (it was still comfortable and semi-private). The Coho is worth every penny!
We are very pleased your stay went so well you wished it could have been longer. We recently added more internet access points on the property to improve Wi Fi signal strength. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
A friend and I headed to the Coho for a quick getaway from the city. We were delighted with the renovations and are positive this is the absolute best value on the Oregon coast. The room was super clean, the beds were amazingly cozy and we loved the decor, linens and view! It's always nice to be trusted with nice things, including flat screen tvs and thick, luxurious towels!
The staff was incredibly helpful, especially when we managed to lock ourselves onto our balcony! (Watch the lock! We were REALLY lucky our neighbors were on their balcony when thish happened!)
The Coho is centrally located within Lincoln City and it was a quick drive to both the casino and the outlet mall.
We plan on returning to this hotel time and time again and have already raved about it to our friends and families. Thank you for such a great stay!
The entire staff was thrilled to see your stay was "Spectacular"! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
